DO NOT STAY HERE
Rooms are disgusting!!!! There is mold on the walls and bed. TERRIBLE!!! Some of the showers are broken, shower doors are broken, toilet seat broken, there was mild around the toilet on the floor we had six rooms ans there was something wrong almost every whereMore
I have stayed here 3 times before, this was my 4 trip in less than a year. So yesterday May 13th was my birthday so i decided to bring my family to our favorite hotel. Reservation was smooth, checking in was also ok even though 1 rooms was not ready up until some time after 4pm, we went and had some lunch which was great food i give a 100%, service in restaurants was about70% some server were plasant some not so pleasant. My number 1 disappointment was the room they assign my kids to, when i open the door to the room it smells like raw sewage, we had to ran out and call front desk, which did not do anything until we walk down there to tell them again, we had adjoining rooms so even in my room you could smell the stench, however i didn't complain about mine because i didn't want them to say we are problem people. They change the kids room to a garden view i was happy to get them out of my room so my husband and i could finally get ready for dinner that we reach sometime after 9pm, what a waste of time on my special day.i went back to the desk sometime to 12 am because my room now had that awful sewage scent, however when i realize how difficult it would be to move at that time i told my husband to lets just go to bed because we would be leaving early in the morning. Come on Royalton you have got to do better because i am always recommending you property to friends, coworkers and guests that vist the hotel i work and ask if i know where they can take their family. Please renovate and fix those problems asap. The property, food, entertainment are all 100%, just those 2 rooms i was assigned yesterday was awful, you should close them and do some major work, plus it was not cool either to be seeing so many workmen on the floor painting and striping wall in the walk way in the night and early this morning. I am so happy i did not do the 2 nights as plan because my daughter had an exam today, i was not enjoying the rooom at all. Thanks to kirk and nadisha at the front desk they were awesome.the room is why i could not give a 100%More
Started out a little off but ended up great.
My sister and I stayed here from April16 to May 2. A few hiccups with the room for the first few days, but worked out great. Ended up staying in 1203 for the whole vacation. Great room. The ala carte restaurants were fantastic. You only need reservations for the Japanese but if you go at the seating times, you can get in if someone doesn't show up. We did that and really enjoyed the food and show. The beach is great and service on beach is GREAT. A big shout out to Denise, Patricia, and oh I hate to say it , but I forgot her name. The three of them were so good. Never pushy but always there when you needed them. George on the beach was a hoot. Would always find you a chair and table if you got there a little late.. Joyce in the Martini bar took really good care of us. The metal bar stools could do with a rethink. Not very comfy but never stopped us from being there EVERY night. Lets talk about food. Breakfast buffet was good. Not very hot but ok. Omelette stations were good. Wish bacon was hotter. If we had lunch it was usually the jerk hut on the beach. Chicken was delish!!!! The sides offered not so much but we really only wanted chicken. We were there for 2 weeks and it took me until day 11 to find out they had jerk chicken in the buffet restaurant. And it was a bit spicier. So we went there for a couple of lunches. Jerk chicken, salad and a cold beer. What else could you ask for. Tex mex restaurant. Ate there 3 times. Loved it everytime. Hunter steak house was so good. Have the calamari appy. Really good and the steak was good 2 out of 3 visits. Italian was very good as well. Wish it was hotter but very tasty. Didn't try greek restaurant as not really impressed with menu. No souvlaki. WTF The calypso West Indies rest. was good as well. Jerk chicken, beef and veggie patties.... What could go wrong. Over all, great experience. Great for famiies with kids. We were upgraded to a suite so our room was very roomy. I see all the complaints about rooms being small, but we didn't have that problem. Oh also a shout out to our housekeeper in 1203. Great job and decorated our room on our last evening with swans, and a bottle of red wine. She knew us SO WELL. Omg. I almost forgot to mention the beds and pillows. HEAVENNNNNNN. But I think we would have to upgrade to Diamond club to get the room we had. It is SO worth it. Hope this helps your decision to stay here. I read some recent reviews and think they were at a different hotel from us. Thanks for a great vacation. Cindy and SamMore
Not worth it
Very very slow service for drinks everywhere except the pool bar. The staff was not overly friendly and most had no hustle. Beach is really nice but it is super windy. Food is average, nothing special. Drinks at one of the sit down restaurants took over an hour and a Diet Coke took 90 mins to get. Crazy slow. Rooms are outdated.More
Hotel is Great! Fitness EVEN BETTER (go Nick!)
I just want to say. The hotel was great. The food is what is expected for an all inclusive and the unlimited drinks, OBVIOUSLY speaks for itself...Unlimited. Something I didn't expect was the fitness opportunities. This was by far the best hotel as far as overall fitness goes. The gyms were awesome for a hotel, and the fitness classes were even better then back home! I'd like to just take Instructor Nick back home with me! Royalton has entertainment, YES, but when Nick gets on the mic for Ninja Warrior, THIS is entertainment. He is very quick on the mic and has a way to get people pumped. I noticed other people even feeling the energy he was dishing out. The rest of the fitness team was good, but Nick was my favorite, and I swear he teaches all day long. Poor guy. The least I can do is give him a review. GREAT work Nick. I'll be back, so you better be there!More
