Royalton Blue Waters
This place is paired up with another hotel, the Royalton White Sands. Together, they've got seven à la carte restaurants, a giant waterpark and a handful of bars for you to enjoy.
You'll find the Royalton Blue Waters pulled up along a wafer-coloured beach on Jamaica's northern coast. It also counts a lazy river and a collection of private, poolside cabanas among its mainstays.
Since this place shares its waterfront setting with a twin hotel – the Royalton White Sands – you get two places for the price of one here. You're free to use the facilities across both hotels, which include eight restaurants, a waterpark and a chic spa.

Beyond Disappointing Birthday- Locals Beware !
Beyond Disappointing Birthday- Locals Beware ! I booked a four night birthday weekend with my family at the Royalton Blue Waters. Considering that I’ve been to White Sands and had a good time, I expected even more from this unnecessarily more expensive side. For one, this resort is beautiful. However, the service way below average which took away entirely from the trip. Firstly, our housekeeper at the white sands was great and made sure we had everything we needed and then some. This took a different turn at Blue Waters. From the first day I could tell that something was off with our housekeeper Simona (not sure of the spelling). She was absolutely horrible, even my brother who never picks up on anything could tell she had an attitude from the second day we were there and met her when she came to clean the room. Even my sister who six years old mind you, said to me she’s doesn’t think the lady who cleans is very nice. How sad. I chose to ignore it and understand that everyone goes through things at times and it may come out at work even if it’s not their intention. I looked passed it, but to my surprise this was her attitude for our entire stay. Absolutely nasty, distasteful and unpleasant. On one occasion, we came up from the room and met her at the door as she just finished cleaning. She did not utter one word to us and walked away to approach the elevator. Not an ounce of professionalism. We also notified her upon arrival that there are 4 persons in the room so we would need some extra amenities as the standard two they would place in a room would not suffice for 4 persons. This seemed like a big problem for her as if we shouldn’t be getting it and would simply take what we requested to the door, had an unpleasant look on her face, hand it to you and walk away in silence. No hi, hello, good morning, good afternoon or anything. This has never been an issue at any other hotel I’ve been to and I have been to most of best ones in Jamaica and counting. They simply make a note and I have no issues going further. To say the least, she made us feel very uncomfortable. She has absolutely no training and is the most disgraceful housekeeper I’ve ever come across. I wished I could have requested our housekeeper at the white sands and this wouldn’t have been the case. Simona is just terrible. Even the bellman we got at the end had an attitude and was very impatient and pushy. But I won’t even bother talk about that in detail as there are more pressing issues. All considerations of tips at the end were through the window. On to the night we went to the steakhouse. Shaking my head is all I can do at this point. On my previous trip I came to this restaurant and it was good. However, this time we met upon Akeno who quite evidently displayed a difference in how he spoke to us vs a couple who clearly aren’t from here who were seated across from us. First to comment, Akeno acted as if what we ordered was too much for him (servings are very small as stated by another reviewer on here which I read before I went to the hotel) and was very sarcastic in his comments to us and had a permanent fake smile on his face for the entire time and was standing across from us just staring and based on facial expression, was evidently ridiculing us. Also, while we were ordering I inquired about the various cuts of steak as I did not want anything too big and with too much fat and instead of explaining and helping me so I make the best choice (as I clearly remember our waiter before doing for us, he explained and suggested stuff for us to try that he thought was good), he interrupted my question and said “okay so you’re not ready to order and walked away and proceeded to take my brother’s order. Absolutely disrespectful to say the least. Needless to say, I felt very “small”. After-which he went to take the order from the couple and explained everything to the gentleman in terms of the various cuts of steak and other items on the menu. Just as we thought this couldn’t get any worse, he came to ask about desert. He stated that they only had cheesecake at the moment. My brother was the only one who wanted it so he ordered. To my surprise (which I really shouldn’t have been at this point), this boy had the audacity to ask and in a very sarcastic tone and a plastic smile “you just want 1?”. As if to say since he ordered two items for dinner he’s expecting him to want more for desert. How dare this child. He is simply terrible and made me feel bad for that remainder of the night as I recounted the experience over and over. This overall experience has left a bitter taste in our mouths even now (our trip was over a week ago) and because of this experience we will never visit another Royalton resort for any reason whatsoever and has turned into a vacation we want to forget. I was discussing this with a neighbour of mine and she told me that she had the same issue with some of the workers at the Royalton Negril. She jokingly went on to say that is was only when she began to speak Spanish they acknowledged her and she found this amusing. To me, this is disgraceful and shows the level of disrespect towards their own people. We regret not listening to the reviews we read and choose somewhere else as we read about similar experiences and chose to look past it as things happen sometimes and we all experience different things only to now be writing a similar review to the ones we read about and ignored. Anyone wanting a good experience and wanting to feel happy during and after your vacation should try visiting Iberostar Rosehall Suites/Grande, Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton, Hilton Rose Hall or even one of the Riu resorts or FDR for a good family experience.More

This Place Is Horrible in a Disaster
I visited the Royalton Blue Waters with 6 of my girlfriends for a 6 day 5 night annual excursion. We all flew out of Orlando Fl and were scheduled to leave/return on Tues Sept 3rd. Unfortunately due to Hurricane Dorian, they closed the Orlando Airport and we were unable to fly out until the following Friday and Saturday. This extended our stay 3 additional days for 4 of and 4 additional days for myself and one other guest. The issue is instead of the hotel giving us a reduced rate like 50% off because this was not our fault and some of the individuals did not have extra funds to pay for the stay; they gave us a small amount off of the normal published rated which caused undue financial hardship on some of the group. Additionally they had no running hot water for 3 of the 5 night stay and only gave us credit for 2 while some diamond members were credited for the full 3 days. They were extremely unconcerned about the whole process and basically did not care about impact to the group! They never had change at the front desk and were unapologetic of how long the refund process would take. I had stayed at the Royalton White Sands 2 years ago and enjoyed that stay! Based on this experience I would never stay at the Royalton Blue Waters again as they were not Customer Friendly. The only savior in this situation was Ricardo whom manages the Diamond Club; without his help we would have gotten no discount! Thanks Ricardo for your help, support and professionalism! I say if you value customer service; do not visit this resort - there are way better options on the ISLAND!!!!More
One of Our Family's Best Vacations
The staff was very friendly right from our arrival (especially LEO). No staff member failed to say "hello" or greet us with a smile and a nod when passing by us - even those who were on their way to report for duty. The meals all tasted great. We tried the hunters (steak menu), taj (indian), & calypso(west Indian). All 3 had a nice & tasty dishes. Everything about our stay was enjoyable. Leo surprised my wife and I with cake and champagne in the ocean. He went above and beyond the call of duty and should be promoted.More
