We enjoyed our week at Azul. The food was great and so was the entertainment. They only negative was that some staff was not friendly. However, Shantoy was the best waitress on the beach. Make sure you eat at the Asian restaurant.More
An excellent Resort
Azul it’s one of the greatest results in the grill because of the customer service and the people that’s providing the services to every client that comes through the resort. From the ground maintenance workers to the restaurant managers. It was a great delight to interact with all levels of staff elements and special thanks to Ms. Beverley Stewart that works at the Italian restaurant. Who suggested that we stay in that area. More
The service level was top notch by all, special mention to Rashane, Rohan my beach go to guy and kemora, Food was top notch as well, don’t be confined to the resort, Lots to do in Negril, Mayfield falls just one on the list.More
This was our 3rd time back to Azul Negril and it was another excellent vacation! Firstly, the staff is incredible and they truly go above and beyond for the guests. TYRON is a lifeguard on the beach that we met on our first visit. He is truly the reason we continue to return each time. He’s very friendly, amazing with our son and always goes the extra mile for the guests. He truly makes our vacation perfect and makes us feel right at home each time we return. ROXANNE is another gem. She’s in the sandwich/coffee restaurant, extremely friendly and always cares to ensure the guests are having a great trip. This time around, the family was feeling a little under the weather, Roxanne made us a honey and lime mix and within 24 hours we were all feeling much better and able to fully enjoy the trip. BEVERLEY in the Italian restaurant is the sweetest woman on the resort (maybe in all of negril). She has such a warm heart and truly cares about the guests. Beverley is always making sure everyone has what they want/need and she’s always ready to assist to ensure our experience is perfect. A true gem! ASAUNI and STEPHANY in the Asian restaurant are also amazing! These two are full of kindness and always smiling. These two make dinning at this restaurant a pleasure. Secondly, the BEACH! It’s perfect! Always clean light dandy beach and crystal clear water! Third, the FOOD. All the restaurants and buffets are great. You will not go hungry here, even a picky eater will have lots of tasty options. Incredible chefs on the entire resort! The ROOM, we always get the swim up rooms in buildings 10-12 and they have always been worth the extra cost. We love having the option to take a swim right outside our room especially when traveling with an infant/toddler that naps often. Rooms are always spotless and cleaned several times per day. Our housekeeper in 12108 was the best! Wish I remembered her name because she was always and major contributor to our excellent experience. Traveling with INFANTS/TODDLERS, this resort offers you everything you’ll need from cribs, change tables, strollers, bottle warmers and sanitizers, monitors and Gerber baby food stocked in your room plus offered at all restraints. RESORT, the resort is all along the beach rather then deep into the jungle. The views are incredible! TIPS, tips are never expected but I’m sure they are greatly appreciated. We always tip the staff as much as we can because they truly deserve it.More
If you are like us, you like reviews to be short and sweet and to the point. We were planning to go to Couples Swept Away, but the day that we went to book, the price jumped $500 per person, so we decided against it. Three days before our trip on April 11th 2019, we decided on the Azul. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the fact that we had our own little check-in area. We had to wait for our room after arriving at noon and had a chance to stroll around a bit. It took until 5 to finally get our room and it was not the one we were promised by the check in person, but the room we got was ok for two days until they changed us to a better room. We are beach people and the beach was a 10. The room was a 7 originally and then a 9 after we changed rooms. They were clean, bed was ok, bathroom was ok, shower had great pressure and the bar was kept stocked. The food was a 7, we have had better in Negril previously, but there were lots of choices and jerk chicken made different ways in different spots and it was all good. The bartenders were mostly good and we didn't have to get up at insane hours to get beach chairs which was nice. The only negative comment I would make is not at all about the hotel or its employees, but about Sunwing who we will NEVER fly with again. They are TERRIBLE. Flight home was a 16 1/2 hour odyssey (it should have been 4 1/2 hours) we sent them an email on their website to which we received NO response - typical - just terrible!!!!More
