Best Hotel We’ve Ever Stayed In!
One word = WOW!! I am genuinely sad to be leaving this place! What a beautiful resort! We stayed Diamond Club and it was well work the extra money. You get private beach and lobby area and a butler service but we don’t like to think of the butlers as butlers but rather friends! That’s how we treated them and that’s how they treated us! Our butlers were Fenton and Suzan who were exceptional! Particularly Fenton really went out of his way with extra special touches! We cannot thank you enough. Big shout out to Roxanne (Roxy) who looked after us in our cabanas which we hired for 3 days ($59 for basic package per day and well worth the treat). She was so helpful and really took care of us. So here are some specifics: Rooms: The rooms are lovely and spacious and elegantly decorated! The room service was fab! The club sandwich is the best! The puddings I’m room serves were not as good as the other food areas. Lovely whirlpool bath and double showers Food: We tried most of the restaurants but Calypso was by far the best! The food is Jamaican and truly excellent as well as the staff. The main buffet is fabulous too with so much to choose from. The Coffee shop was amazing too with lovely selection of coffee and treats. The Jerk Hut is a must try for lunch too! They do run out of stuff for ages tho so make sure you get the jerk sausage whilst you can as it’s delicious. Entertainment- Absolutely brilliant! The Bob Marley tribute was our favourite and also the Reggae bank by the Martini Bar Would have been nice if the beach bars and Diamond Club beach bar has stayed open longer. Gym - well equipped and the classes were great! Aircon could have been on cooler though lol. This was our first time to Jamaica and this resort and we will see you again. Thank you for a truly wonderful holiday xxxMore
Best customer service
From start to finish our trip was amazing. Rooms are beautiful. Food was beyond delicious with so much selection. The staff are top shelf amazing!!!!!! Jason Avril and tameka at the pool bar keep everyone smiling and happy. Cleon Kevon and Cedrick are entertaining, pleasant and the best bartenders from the martini mix bar. These guys had my 2 boys entertained with card tricks and were teaching them how to do tricks. Being a single mom on a trip with 2 young boys these guys were always looking out for us. I can’t say enough good things about them. I will definitely recommend Royalton to all my family and friends. Thank you for an amazing week! More
Pros: Very nice resort! The Diamond Club is a MUST -- better beach area, butler service (ask for Thornille and/or Clinton), better rooms, diamond club lounge and private pool/bar area, lots of upgrades. Staff is ALL very friendly. Shout out to the best bartenders -- Cedrick, Cleon, Shamone at the Martini Bar. And Ricardo at the Zen Restaurant. Cons: Pools close early, tipping is expected -- bring lots cash! Con of staying at Royalton, you have no access to Hideaway Resort. Definitely a nice vacation spot!More
For my parents 25th wedding anniversary my parents, my sister, and I stayed at the Royalton in the luxury junior suite with the swim out for 5 days 1/4-1/9. First thing I must say DEFINITELY GET DIAMOND CLUB SERVICE!!! Our butler Denesha was beyond exceptional! When we arrived we were greeted with welcome drinks and were shown to our exclusive Diamond club lounge and check in was easy and quick. The beach and pool were always clean and the people selling stuff on the beach were not as pushy as other places I’ve visited. Also have to give a special shout-out the swimup bartender Philip! Always entertaining the guests. The nightly entertainment was fun. For the younger 20s after midnight the score sports bar is the place to be! Also if you need anything ;) the staff is more than happy to provide anything you need. If I could give it 4.5 stars I would. The reason it’s only 4 stars is because of the food. Buffet was amazing for breakfast and lunch. Ocean Point and Calypso were my top 2 favorites. Also the desserts there were not the greatest. However everyday, my sister and I would get a double shot of espresso from the coffee shop by the lobby and pour soft serve vanilla ice cream to make the perfect affogato. The problem happened at the steak house. My mom is a big wine drinker so she ordered a bottle from their wine list. When they brought it out the cork was dry and crumbled apart. We like our steaks medium. Their “ribeye” was similar to the steak from buffet lunch, super thin. Filet was pretty good. However the NY strip was super well done, when we sent it back it came back black and blue. The third time sending it back we were ready to leave. If it wasn’t for these minor issues it would be the perfect vacation I definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking to go to Jamaica and we plan on going back soon hopefully!More
Everything great except Room Service!
Went here the week before Christmas with my family (all adults now, which means I'm getting old!) and we had a wonderful time. The rooms were excellent. The buffet was excellent. The pools were excellent. The Hideaway beach was small and stoney but was very quiet with bar service right to your lounge chair. The restaurants are good ( not excellent but still good). The only complaint we had was room service. It's was inconsistent and basically unreliable. But if that's my only issue then what the heck. And one honourable mention to Mrs Clarke who was simply outstanding. Above and beyond. More
