Royalton Negril Resort and Spa
The Royalton Negril boasts an enviable beach postcode, a kids' splash park and a state-of-the-art spa.
This place leads down to a prime white-sand stretch, where you can hop on boat trips out to the offshore reef. A 15-minute taxi ride, meanwhile, gets you to the restaurants and bars of Negril’s West End.
As you’d expect, the rooms and facilities will be as modern as they come. You’ll also find signature Royalton touches, like dual rainfall showers, 24-hour room service and reservation-free dining.

All around perfect resort!
Was 3rd trip to Jamaica, but first to Negril. Really difficult to try to find any faults with this resort. While 1.5 hrs to get from Montego Bay airport to Negril, you can really see what real Jamaica is like. Bus stopped at Jerk Centre (seems to be a main stop point) to stretch legs, get a bite and drinks. Checked in at resort about 8pm, and was smooth. The resort is very large. Stayed at Diamond Club, Building 1, so had a golf cart drive us and luggage to building. Diamond Club has its own exclusive lounge (snacks and premium drinks), pool/bar, bar and beach area, and quieter than main hotel/pool area. Some of the buildings (4,5,6,7) near main central area of resort I could see would have dealt with a lot of noise, particularly at night. Walk to 1 was was far (but quiet), so there is a trade-off. Rooms are modern (hotel only about 2 years old) and very nice. Had tub in middle of room. Lighting system in room we still didn't have figured out by end of trip (should have paid attention with staff first oriented us to room). Very comfortable beds, large shower, separated room for toilet. If you have ocean view, better to be higher up. Ground floors, while had swim-out pools, may have view of sea obstructed by trees. Food options was great: buffet, a la carte restaurants, pool area food stands/pizza stand (lunch only). Loved the cafe. So many options, we did not get to try all. Although resort is not on the popular 7-Mile Beach, the beach here (Bloodly Bay) was very nice. Was good for walks. White sand. Calm crystal clear, and very warm water. However still very shallow as you go out, which some might love. Beach chairs were high-end, and they had beds too, but they filled up early. Main pool area is where all the action is during the day with lots of activities and music. Was very much a party pool and fun when you wanted to be around activity. They had an adjacent nice pool area for kids. Nightlife was very good. During dinner time, the outside bar near outdoor theater and various restaurants was always active with music. Night shows (9pm) were generally good. Loved the Bob Marley tribute and Michael Jackson show. There was a couple shows (steel pan; history of reggae) that was just ok. Some good parties after show at bar (with DJ) and the all-white party on beach. Didn't do the late sports bar parties that they also promoted. Staff were all great. Makes it more enjoyable when you try to engage with them. As with anywhere I go, I tip all the time where I am getting service. Took about $70 in single US dollars and used it all throughout trip. Can believe how many people I see not tipping, especially at meals. Did the catamaran/snorkeling trip that was booked at resort for $55US and it was great. It also went to Rick's Cafe, and was about 5 hours in total from the time the bus came to pick us up at hotel to take us to 7-Mile Beach (where the catamaran picks you up). One day we also took a taxi to 7-Mile Beach to spend a few hours. Was a great trip, and extremely great resort staying at Royalton. Definitely a 5-star. And the property very well maintained!More
I encountered many employees on my trip, but there was one in particular that took the cake... DILANDO!!
I met him as a vibe team member, & also as DJ Lando Supreme! & around the board he was my FAVORITE encounter. He was welcoming, engaging, charismatic, funny & an amazing DJ! He contributed to some of the best parts of me and my family’s trip! A pure ray of sunshine on whatever clouds I encountered! Thank you Dilando! Keep shining. Until next time 💚💛🖤More
