Typical All Inclusive Resort
We stayed here as a group of 6 adults and 3 children over New Years Eve 2019 and had a pretty good time. This is your typical all inclusive holiday resort (which I am not a particular fan of) with all the food and drink you could ever want. The rooms were spacious and clean, the beach had plenty of space and loungers for everyone, the main dining area was huge and you could always find a table and even the "special" restaurants were usually able to accommodate our group for dinner. The service was good (some days better than others), the food was ok, the drinks were inconsistent (although the frozen pina colada was delicious). The hotel put on a NYE party which was fun and overall we had a pretty good time but I probably wouldn't come here again.More
Riu Palace Tropical Bay September 2019
Had a great time staying for 10 days.Stayed here 7 years ago before the refurbishment. Preferred the old colonial style before the changes though as we felt the hotel has now become very similar in style as other Riu hotels we have stayed in. The location and people are great, plenty of choice for food and drink. We were disappointed though that during our stay two of the three pools were not able to be used at different times due to major tiling being undertaken and cleaning. Great resort, couldn't have been happier
Just got back from our 12th trip to Jamaica and so glad we chose the Palace Tropical Bay. We've been to 2 other "regular" resorts in Jamaica that were good but I think the Palace puts it over the top. The resort was recently rennovated with nice updated rooms, the beach and pools were clean and well maintained, the food was great from the great jerk hut on the beach to the buffet which always had a great selection especially with Thursday nites being lobster night and I'm talking about nice size split tails and as much as you want. The steak in the Japanese restaurant was great as was the steaks in the steakhouse restaurant not to mention their lobster dinner. But what made this trip great was the people. The staff alway's went out of their way for you and were super friendly which makes a big deal. Also the cleanliness of the place was spectacular. If you use the bathrooms in the lobby or on the grounds they are right behind you cleaning. This place might be our new spot and is definetly worth a little more than the other Riu resoets. Thanks Riu for a great stay and please keep it up.More
Heaven on Earth
This was my first time at a exclusive hotel and it definitely will not be my last. The staff was so nice and helpful they truly made the trip enjoyable. I commend the resort of the planning of daily activities, they kept us busy, and the nightly shows were entertaining. But that food hands down was awesome. Whether your a vegetarian or have allergies to certain food, the Riu provides you with an array of mouth watering meals to accommodate every type of appetite. You could taste the love and pride of the Jamaica.More
