Doesn't rate high on my list
Our rooms were not ready by check in time. The hotel room was highly decorated and comfortable but it was not equipped with a coffee maker. The reception staff were cool and distant. Customer service training is recommended.More
My new home
The best hotel I have ever experienced!!! I traveled with family and friends to celebrate my birthday. Everyone had an amazing time on and off the property. Our Funjet rep was the absolute best! I will be back as soon as possible!!!More
Worth the money
Staff were very pleasant and helpful and quick to respond to your needs. Rooms were comfortable and clean and the resort was well laid out. We were disappointed with the Asian resturant so ate most of our meals at the buffet. The BBQ Chicken on the beach was really good. We would get a piece of chicken from the BBQ and then go to the buffet for our salads, fruits etc. Nighty Entertainment was very good..dancers were amazing.More

A Week in Paradise
Just back from a most wonderful week at Riu Reggae in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Our first time at this location. (3 times previous to Club Riu, Negril.) Adults only. Very compact. Easier to navigate especially for our friend who has mobility issues. We stayed on the 2nd floor over the main lobby. The only elevator. Great room. Friendly, fun staff. Food, beach, water activities all excellent. The coffee served at the bar in the lobby in the morning, was the best I've ever had. Lots of music, which was being played at a sensible volume. Excellent evening entertainment. (Much better acoustics than at Negril.) Loved the beach and found plenty of shade when needed. Three Riu resorts on this stretch of beach. Each separate. We were welcomed at the Riu Montego Bay. A short walk. We spent one day there at the beach, around the pool and did lunch. Liked it, but decided we liked the Reggae much better. As for excursions: we loved the 4 hr. catamaran cruise which included snorkeling, 1 hr. at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville and finished with a lovely sunset. The music on the boat was very, very loud but we did have fun. Made 7:00 reservations at the Pier 1 restaurant in Moe Bay. Fabulous food, drinks and ambience. Highly recommend this place, especially at sunset. We had the Coconut Fish and Fish tacos. Calamari and wings. ... We wold definitely go back. The staff was so friendly and so accommodating. A very international guest list. We came back tan, fat and happy and carry with us many wonderful memories.More
