Holiday inn Montego Bay
Absolutely love this place the hotel and staff are just awesome, so welcoming and friendly. We have visited twice already and I’m already looking to book again with TUI for our next holiday. Such value for money as a family we could not have asked for more. This place so family friendly, so if you want a place where the kids are kept entertained, then this is for you. The food is excellent with a wide variety of choice and fresh produce. Feel well rested and chilled!! A big thank you to Karen and team in the main dining area for being super friendly and attentive, you guys made our 2019 summer vacation!! Thank you team holiday inn!More

Amazing time in Montego Bay
Just got back from a one week stay at this resort, not sure where to start. To be honest, it didn't get off to a great start. The bus ride from the airport is only 10 minutes, which was great. Check in was quick and easy. When we booked, we didn't book anything special (room wise). Wasn't planning on spending a lot of time in the room anyways. Our room was on the first floor right by the main pool, where all the entertainment is, and we found it to be very noisy (even late at night. The next morning we went to the front desk and simply asked if we could be moved to a quieter spot in the resort, they told us they could move us at 3:00 that afternoon. When we got to the new room, they had us in a top floor junior suite ocean front (are you kidding me). We actually spent a little more time in the room than originally planned. Lol. The rest of the week was just amazing. The staff are all super friendly, and speak English. Very accommodating when you ask them to take pictures for you. We also met a lot of really nice people who were also there on vacation. We went simply to relax and enjoy the beach (which is breathtakingly beautiful). We hung out mostly at the adult beach, there's also an adult pool with a swim up bar right there. If you have kids, they'll never get bored, always lots of activities going on. The buffets were good and so was lunch at the Jerk Hut. As far as the al la carte's go, the Japanese was amazing and very entertaining. Our favourite had to be the Jerk after dark. They set up tables right on the beach, and the food and service is excellent. I would highly recommend this resort, and we'll definitely be returning. Next time for a longer stay. If you are thinking of booking this resort, just a couple of tips. For the breakfast buffet, check out the 2nd floor. The view is great, and it's not as busy. And, upgrade your room. We got lucky, next time we'll be upgrading in advance. Last but not least, a shout out to some of the people that made our stay extra special. Kemeisha and Denton, who helped us with the upgrade. And Annagaye, who we met at the reception for the 2nd floor breakfast buffet. And later that night, was at the Jerk after dark, she's awesome. Sorry for the long review, but we loved it!!More

Very disappointed guest
I have been at this property over 4 times and this stay has been the worst. The only good part of my trip is the jerk hut is still the same. Only place where you can get food food and great service. Paul at the front tried (TRIED) to help me get my A/C and drain fixed. On to the worst part 1. Sink flooded and when they came to fix it they left the towels on the floor 2. Taking shower is a shower that doesn’t drain. So nasty 3. Hospitality is out the door here. Walked by 5 workers and not one of them acknowledged me like they used too. 4. They always say the reservations are full but you go and there is so many opens seats. 5. Food in the buffet is so greasy and bland. The barefoot burgers was real good at night but they have a new cook. 6. I have stood at a bar and didn’t get a drink for awhile. No acknowledgement. 7. Went into the souvenir shop and a worker was behind the curtain eating and talking to the cashier. Kinda rude I think when I didn’t hear them ever say hello or can I help you they continued to talk back and forth to each other. Please make sure you search for prices. I paid $750 for plane and booked through IHG and paid $275 a night. I hear from others they paid way less then me going through a travel agent. It’s not worth using IHG as you pay more money. I got ripped off. Pisses me off and they are really pushing IHG here now. Please again go through a travel agent. You will pay less then what IHG charges.More

food was good - plenty of choice, drinks very good :-) beach could do with dredging out to get rid of the growing seaweed! as it is a man made island it should of been done then! it was a shame you couldn't get further into the ocean and a bit deeper! more shade is required on the beach as the weather was fantastic :-) got our photographs done as it was daughters 16th BIG shout out to Clifton the photographer who made her feel comfortable in front of the camera - ate in the Italian - food ok but the air con was not working and it was so hot we nearly passed out! had to get ice and a towel in the restaurant!!!! not a good experience snorkling is very good around the pier at the seabreeze beach - loads of fish - this side of the beach was completely empty! brilliant!!! but so under used!!!! but once again you cannot go far into the water due to growing seaweed!!!!! smoking!! I am smoker but it didn't really bother me not smoking on my balcony, as the smoking area was close to me and met loads of people I wouldn't of probably spoken to otherwise! room ok - very noisy air con! comfy beds good shower, that's all that is needed! such a shame it is not safe to wander around outside but overall loved it, wouldn't go back as the sea/beach was very poor - and I like going to different places- overall it was a good 2 weeks and nice and relaxing - that's what a holiday is all about for us :-) More
