My wife and I made Grand Palladium our first stop after getting married and the memories made here will last a lifetime! As I said in my comments while taking the survey, quality Customer Service is the hallmark of any business and I was blown away by not only their professionalism but constant willingness to assist with even the smallest issue. The views were great (next time we’ll try to get one of the rooms with a view of the sea) the rooms were well kept and fresh, the safe was a really nice touch for me as well. The grounds were very clean and I observed security personnel at every turn which allowed us to relax and focus on enjoying our time and not threats in our surroundings. The pool and the beach was absolutely perfect for us it was just the right height for a swimmer like her and a non-swimmer like myself. The food was absolutely amazing! While I mainly stayed with Jamaican cuisine I did dabble in the other foods that were there and I enjoyed them immensely so did my wife who had to be catered to differently because of a food allergy. We were catered to so well I didn’t have to remind anyone of her allergies even I almost forgot she had one🤣. If I were to state everything we enjoyed I’d probably write an essay, our overall experience was amazing and we definitely plan to do it again.More
Enjoyable stay, but room for improvement
We spent 2 weeks at this hotel as a group of 4. Whilst we enjoyed the holiday, we felt in comparison to other all-inclusive hotels we have stayed in at Cuba, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Jamaica, the service and quality of food at the A La Carte restaurants was less that we would expect. However, it would not detract us from returning. The hotel is spread across a large complex and was set in a beautiful location. There is a lot of walking involved so probably not great for those with difficulty walking – although there are golf buggies which drive around if you don’t mind waiting. The main pool was fantastic, even though it was large it never felt busy, and there were plenty of poolside events to keep you entertained, including waterpolo, and aquarobics. The fitness team were really encouraging, they cater for all abilities, and pushed you to work harder, especially in the aquarobics classes. Giovanni, Garrison, Neico and Romario were fantastic every day. The food in the Mo-Bay buffet was really good, and probably one of the best lunch buffets we’ve ever had – the pasta station was far better than the Italian restaurant, and the food was hot. We stayed in the Jamaica side where the rooms were not as modernised as Lady Hamilton, although we still had everything we needed eventually – we had to chase up for spare tea bags, and shower gel repeatedly, although the mini bar was always fully stocked. Despite the fact the food and service were not as we would have expected, the staff could have made this better by being a little friendlier, particularly in the A La Carte restaurants. James Helmbrecht In El Dorado was the best waiter throughout our holiday and is a credit to the hotel – the steak here too was fantastic. We also receive great service at the pool bar by Jeanetta and Mercylin. Some things we think would recommend improving the hotel, would be to have some high end sprits in more bars, and hand sanitiser at the restaurants and buffets. There were plenty of activities taking place during the day, but these didn’t seem very well advertised, so sometimes you missed out on things we would have enjoyed. The final point, and this was a major bugbear for all of us – the steps down from the main pool to the beach had a speaker concealed in it which came on during the day – this played the same playlist in the same order every day. You can imagine how annoying this was every day for 2 weeks if like us you like to sun bath in the same location. When there were events on, such as a saxophonist playing by the pool, this speaker was not turned off, meaning you could not fully enjoy the live music. Please please change the playlist occasionally.More
The rooms are wonderful. The staff was great. The restaurants have great food and drinks. Check in was fast. I loved the the jerk chicken at the Jerk Hut. The Rum Punch was delicious. The shuttle drivers were very friendly. They were great! Our Taxi driver, Sammy, was amazing! Thanks for the adventure.More
On the whole our holiday was enjoyable, Tamara at the pool bar was the most helpful staff member we encountered. We experienced and noted some dissatisfaction on the quality of service from service staff, More
