This hotel has that winning trio – a prime location, a pool and a restaurant.
This hotel is on Corso Italia, so there are shops, restaurants and pizzerias on the doorstep. On top of that, the little beach at Marina Grande is just 20 minutes’ walk away.
A bijou pool, garden sunbathing areas, and a breakfast room complete the picture. In the UK, this holiday is only available from the TUI group.

THINK BEFORE YOU BOOK !!!! Don’t be fooled by the reception area which is very nice. When you get to your room you will be very disappointed I paid extra to have a garden pool view with a balcony this the smallest room I have ever stayed in and very dated. Some of the staff are polite (Not the waiter at breakfast he is a horrible little man) The hotel manager is a very rude two-faced lady take time out to read the bad reviews and her response which you will see how rude she is in the response she gives to all bad reviews .Food at this Hotel is disgusting I could only manage to eat their Twice out of my two weeks it is that bad. Air-conditioning is a joke does not work. Check your bill at the end of your stay as things are added on. THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO IS DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID JUST BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE.More
Beautiful city...shame about the hotel staff
We were there for my sons wedding. There were a group of us there - family and friends. The hotel advertised itself as ‘catering for weddings’ but it became clear that they cater more for taking the wedding bookings money than providing an atmosphere that compliments groups and families that are there for a happy occasion. There were lots of niggling issues that got to people in our group. Some of the staff (the barman who also served the breakfast periods was quite surly to a few and got picked up about it. It seemed to be a hotel more suited to a quiet stay and that’s fair enough, in which case it shouldn’t accept wedding parties...and this wedding was by no means some ‘gypsy wedding’ the actual wedding itself (arranged by a company nothing to do with the hotel) was fantastic. The hotel was chosen because of its location and sadly the staff didn’t reach the standards of the rest of the holiday. My own personal complaint was one of petty theft of an Adidas hooded top that I left by mistake in the wardrobe of our room when we departed. I realised when I got to the airport and I called the hotel who said the room hadn’t been cleaned yet and they would check to room and call or e-Mail me back. The top was a vintage 1970s style retro one that I’d paid around £60 for a few years ago. It was my own fault I’d left it - but to be told by the hotel that it wasn’t in the room when they checked, when I knew very well that I’d left it hanging on a coat hanger in the wardrobe was not something I was happy about. I wrote to them and TUI with the complaint and said that it strongly suggests that someone with access to the room after we had checked out, had gone in and seen the item and removed it / stolen it. I’ve not had any reply from them about how the hoody had gone missing and came to the conclusion that because a lot in our party had had good reason to complain about the service and experience there, that this hoody was taken as a petty theft against us. I myself and my wife had not personally made any complaints to the hotel during our stay, but others had...such as them only having one child high chair in the whole hotel which meant that breakfast time the families with kids in our party had to wait to use it...and then got a miserable git of a waiter dealing with them! The hotel was not a cheap hotel ...but the staff were! Sorrento on the other hand is a stunning beautiful place and we will definitely go back, but this hotel is more suited to ‘old retired couples’ and there’s nothing wrong with that, so they shouldn’t accept bookings from wedding parties who are staying for a happy fun occasion and celebration and then treat it like a funeral wake!More
Very dissatisfied customer
My partner and I stayed in hotel Capri earlier this year. It is most defiantly situated in a beautiful location but is not a 4 star accommodation. Firstly we paid extra to have a ‘pool view room’. Paying extra actually meant our room was downsized, we could just about walk the perimeter of the bed therefore had no where to store our suitcases or any of our belongings for that matter. We had to store our suitcases in the door way (health and safety/fire hazard) so every time we needed to enter/leave the room we had to manoeuvre our suitcases onto our bed to free the doorway. Not only was there an issue with the sizing or the room but also the smell of sewerage. Furthermore, my parter and I were on holiday with our family who were staying in the same hotel. There was confusion about a noise complaint. A formal notice was pushed under a family members door. Very bewildered we questioned this with reception staff. Reception staff first of all denied any knowledge, but after hours of wasted time then stated the complaint was for a different room (nothing to do with my family member). This wasted half a day of our holiday and understandably dampened spirits. Next I will move onto the issues at breakfast. As previously mentioned my partner and I were away with our family. Our family including 2 very small children (ages 1 and 2). The hotel was advertised as a family hotel, but could only cater for one of our two babies at breakfast as there was only one high chair. Additionally the breakfast was a buffet style. Please note once the buffet has ran out this is not restocked. As we noticed this was a continual pattern, the one morning we asked a member of staff if more eggs could be brought out. We were addressed with a very rude response and an answer of ‘no’. My final point is not with the hotel direct but with Tui as this is who we booked the package through. We had a coach transfer to and from the hotel. The transfer on the way back to the airport was overcrowded. There was not enough seats for people on the coach. This meant that one of our babies had to sit on her mother’s lap and therefore did not have a seat belt. Further to this there was not enough room for the suitcases under the coach, so suitcases were placed in-front of the emergency exit completely blocking and disabling this exit. Overall Sorrento itself is a beautiful place but our experience with hotel Capri and Tui was very dissatisfying.More
Would not recommend
I stayed at this hotel for my sisters wedding and I would never return to this hotel again! It was awful the staff were rude, there was only one high chair at breakfast, rooms were very noisy and the food was not refilled at breakfast once it was gone they wouldn’t bring out any more. The staff knew no English and wouldn’t even attempt to compromise at trying to understand. Absolutely awful hotel it completely ruined the whole wedding experience definitely would not recommend!!!!!More
We were stayed for a week at Hotel Capri and really enjoyed our stay. It is clean with an excellent housekeeping service. The breakfast was excellent and even catered for Gluten Free (though a separate toaster for coeliacs would be even better). The front desk staff were always courteous - particularly the young ladies who were always on hand to help with trips/directions etc. I was really worried that the noise from the street was going to be an issue for me because I'm a light sleeper but it wasn't too bad and I slept soundly every night. The hotel is just a short walk from the centre which is handy because after a day's sightseeing you won't want to walk far to get dinner. The pool is clean. There aren't many sunbeds but Sorrento isn't really the sort of place to sit by the pool all day so it wasn't an issue. It is a quiet hotel, so if you like music by the pool and bingo in the afternoons you'll be disappointed. We would return here in a heartbeat. Thanks for a great stay!More
