Standout views. Three stylish restaurants. And a glamorous pool scene. It’s no wonder so many guests return to the Hotel Bristol year after year.
Perched on a cliff above Marina Grande, this family-run hotel is in a prime position for some of Sorrento’s best views. What’s more, it’s just a 10-minute downhill walk into the heart of town.
Bedrooms here are elegantly styled. Big beds take centre stage, while painted floor tiles and brightly coloured soft furnishings add a chic but homely feel.

Classic, stylish hotel with amazing views of the coast and the bay
Stayed twice at this hotel now. The views from terraces, balconies or the pool deck are stunning and face out to Mount Vesuvius and along the coast. Rooms are spacious and well kept. Balconies and terraced areas for the rooms can be different sizes. Food is very good and services is of a high quality. The staff at the reception area are very helpful. In particular, Salvatore was exceptionally helpful.More
Wonderful 5 night stay!
I have just returned from a 5 night stay at Hotel Bristol with my wife. This was our first holiday to Sorrento and we totally loved it. The hotel itself is wonderful and in a perfect location for exploring the town. We stayed in a superior room (Room 705) and the views from our huge balcony were absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the bay and the marina with Vesuvius in the distance. It is situated a short walk from the town where you will find lots of lovely shops and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed walking down to Marina Grande where you can find the freshest fish and seafood you could ever wish for. Hotel Bristol is kept spotless everywhere and the staff are so friendly and helpful. A special mention for Salvatore who greeted us on arrival and was always so welcoming with any questions we had. We only had breakfast at the hotel but this again was fantastic with a great choice of breads, cakes and also cooked items. Again the waiters at breakfast were great. Thanks for a wonderful stay Hotel Bristol. We can't wait to return.More
If you are not blown away by this hotel, you're an extremely spoiled and rarified traveller. The views are simply stunning, among the most amazing in the world really, whether from one's room, the restaurants, or the many windows on every floor. The hotel is wonderfully clean and polished, with a sweet smell that mirrors the incomparable smell of Sorrento in springtime: lemon and orange blossoms everywhere, and wysteria to boot. The service is excellent -- if anything, there are more waiters than is necessary -- and the breakfast is fantastic. I counted at least eight kinds of bread alone, along with so many other choices, from hot to cold, bacon to fruit. In short, this hotel is stunning, and a truly romantic choice, a splurge for those so inclined. If I had one constructive criticism, it would be that the exercise room is a disappointment. There are far too few machines, despite enough space for far more free weights and machines. Still, this cannot detract from the suberb rating. Fantastic.More
If you haven't been here, go now...
Arrived here as a couple on May 5. On arrival our cases were spirited from the bus, check in was super quick and efficient and 5 minutes later we were in our room and re-united with our cases. This kind of service is so appreciated by tired travellers, it was clear from the outset that we were going to be spoiled. The room views were amazing, we were on the 7th floor but I'm assured all the rooms have the same view. There's no point in telling folks how good the pool, deck etc are and how splendid the views are, you must see to believe. We were on a half board option, breakfast was the usual fare but served with courtesy and a smile, particularly Gaetano but they all deserve special mention for their friendliness. Dinner was more of a mediocre affair but the food is fine. It could be described as "safe" with no particularly strong flavours but we couldn't complain. I'm told the lunch option was good but it didn't suit us to eat so soon after a cooked breakfast. The town is a 5-8 minute stroll from the front door, easily accessible for all. Sorrento is a lovely town with plenty to do and see. Further afield you have all the Roman history on offer. Please visit this wonderful hotel. From the Reception Staff, to the Restaurant Staff, to the Pool Deck Staff, to the Porters, to the Room Staff and everyone else involved, to a man and a woman they are superb...nothing less than that. Go there and be spoiled, you will not regret it. Thank you Hotel Bristol, Sorrento. We will be back. Slán go foill.More
We stayed four nights here on our trip to Italy. First of all, the views are utterly amazing. No photo can really prepare you for the view until you walk into the room. Not to mention how the views continually change as the weather changes, which is amazing. We also splurged for the jacuzzi suite, which was amazing. (Our jacuzzi failed to work when we arrived, but they immediately fixed it when we notified them.) And the views are not the only thing that is wonderful. The service is at a level above most I have encountered. In fact, I felt like I was at a 1950's or 1960's country club from the movies! Waiters in tuxedos, even at breakfast, top level 'anything you request' type of service, and every time you go eat you feel under dressed. :) I just loved it. I guess there are hotels in Sorrento better than Bristol, but if so, I don't know how they could be much better. Awesome.More
