Standout views. Three stylish restaurants. And a glamorous pool scene. It’s no wonder so many guests return to the Hotel Bristol year after year.
Perched on a cliff above Marina Grande, this family-run hotel is in a prime position for some of Sorrento’s best views. What’s more, it’s just a 10-minute downhill walk into the heart of town.
Bedrooms here are elegantly styled. Big beds take centre stage, while painted floor tiles and brightly coloured soft furnishings add a chic but homely feel.

What an amazing hotel! We were on the sixth floor and had a balcony overlooking the Bay of Naples.....it was a stunning view. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is fairly close to the centre of Sorrento...about a ten minute walk. All the facilities in the hotel were very good, and the food was excellent. Hopefully, we will return!More

Outstanding in every way.
All of the reviews prepared us but we were still surprised by the service of the staff, special mention to Luca, Silvio and Federico, they made our stay. We stayed for 2 weeks in a junior suite. It has a huge balcony and the room was large and lovely and cool. We stayed half board and both breakfast and evening meal were very nice. Breakfast has plenty of choice daily and the evening menu rotates weekly, so if you stay for 2 weeks you know what is to come. All of our meals were lovely and they will let you have starters as a main course, should you wish. The staff are so accommodating and make the hotel what it is. Fantastic first time in Sorrento and the Bristol and it will not be our last. Room 707 is great. More
We stayed in this hotel for a week in mid-June - absolutely great stay. From the friendly and efficient Reception Staff, to the waiters and bar staff, nothing was too much trouble with everyone very, very helpful. The views from the hotel over the Bay were simply outstanding and had to be seen to be believed. We stayed in Room 202 which featured both side and seaview balconies and provided all the comforts expected. The meals for all excellent and efficiently served. This must be one of the best hotels in Sorrento and we thoroughly recommend this to all. We will most certainly return.More
Back to The Hotel Bristol
We returned again this year for another fabulous stay at the Hotel Bristol. This being our 4th visit in the last seven or so years. Once again we were overwhelmed and enjoyed a fabulous vacation at this property. It was great to see and catch up with the friendly staff, fantastic views, wonderful accommodations and pool deck. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting the beautiful Amalfi Coast. I consider this Hotel and Sorrento to be the perfect base station to enjoy all the beautiful towns that make up this unbelievable coastline. We look forward to returning and are appreciative of the kindness of our good friends at the Hotel Bristol.More

I felt like I was in a James Bond movie !
We stayed here for the last week in June 2019. First impressions were good with staff rushing out to the coach to gather our luggage. They are so friendly and helpful. We were lucky to be allocated 604 (6th floor) close to lifts and floor 7 (roof top pool, restaurant, bar). The room had great views across Sorrento and the bays. Gorgeous day and night. The room was well equipped, air conditioning that had a guest control, mini bar fridge, free safe, great balcony, very comfortable beds and pillows, TV all that you’d expect. The room also had one UK socket which was s nice touch and some USB sockets. European electric sockets too of course, and hair dryer. The maid who looked after the room works so hard, do friendly and kept our room spotless every day - thank you. We were full board and enjoyed breakfast and dinner (trousers required at dinner gents). This is a nice touch and should be maintained. I can’t see why people complain about this policy. The hotel is gorgeous with gorgeous views - I do not wish to dine with people in swim wear and caps. The food was excellent. Dinner was from a menu with good choice. I had to search google for some dishes however why visit Italy if you not going to try sone great dishes. The staff in the restaurant again are so hospitable with a warm welcome, and excellent table service. The pool - wow - amazing. On the roof, spectacular views with a life guard tending to the pool and keeping people safe. They also provide guest towels (free) and you are not allowed to just heard them on loungers. If you do they are removed. This worked great, we always got a lounger. No early morning dash required !! The pool is warm, and there is a small toddlers pool. The poolside bar serves great food large portions big enough to share. Noon who works their is simply brilliant - great service with a smile. The bar is quiet. The entertainment is appropriate. Piano, singers, classic entertainment that suits the hotel. If you like an ABBA or Elvia tribute - this is not for you. We enjoyed being on the bar terrace, with waiter service and entertainment as described over looking Sorrento. It felt like a movie. All in all we can’t fault this hotel. We would encourage the hotel to fit a handrail from the pool to the poolside restaurant we saw a few less mobile struggle up and down steps. Outside follow the road down the hill to the town. It’s a short walk. This no fault of the hotel but beware the traffic and scooters. They speed and many have little regard for their safety or yours. This is out of the hotels control of course. Finally we did not realise that you charge all drinks and food to your room and settle on checkout. BRILLIANT- had I known I would have taken less currency. This is s classic hotel with classic decor that just suits it. Some say it needs modernising however this would wreck the character in our opinion. Thank you for a wonderful week. This is a hotel we will return to. More
