Grand Hotel President
With spectacular views over the Bay of Naples, the Grand Hotel President was an obvious choice for the Platinum collection.
The Grand Hotel President offers up some of the best views in Italy. The property is set on a hilltop and looks out over the Mediterranean Sea, Mount Vesuvius and the inlets of the Sorrento Coast.
The hotel is a great example of Italian good looks. The bedrooms are traditional, with tiled floors and plenty of inlaid wood furniture, while communal areas feature marble staircases and chandeliers. And the outdoor scene is one of landscaped gardens and manicured lawns. You'll even find a whirlpool bath out here.

Have just returned from a week at the President. Hotel is lovely and as the other reviewers have said, the views are stunning. I would advise travellers to book a sea view room, it’s worth it. We had a poolside room with a terrace and it overlooked the bay and Sorrento which was quite spectacular at night. Good amount of sun beds, hotel is clean, rooms are spacious and nothing is too much trouble for the staff - the restaurant presented my mum with a birthday cake ....and I hadn’t even told them which I thought was a lovely touch. There is a good choice of food and it’s well prepared and presented. If I wanted to be really picky, we had to pay €20 for tea/coffee making facilities in the room which seemed a bit much when you usually get this as standard but we still went for it on the basis it was €3.5 if you bought a cup of coffee from the bar so if you like your early morning cuppa then it’s worth it. We were also asked to put our water bottles under the table in the restaurant at dinner - presumably so you buy water from them and I thought this was a bit unnecessary also. If you like a soft bed and squishy pillows, this will also be a disappointment to you. I am being really picky with these though. Shuttle bus into town is excellent, it’s a nice walk down but a steep climb back up and there are plenty of restaurants in town if you want to eat out - bus only takes 10mins and runs until 11pm. If you want tourist information, go to the train station, the staff are really helpful and not pushy which the other ticket/tour operators tend to. More
A superb family holiday
We stayed at the Grand Hotel President in April 2019. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and immediately made to feel at home. Our room was excellent and had superb views across Sorrento to Vesuvius and Naples. Everyone who looked after us during our stay was extremely professional, attentive and went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. Thank you for giving us an amazing family holiday we look forward to returning again very soon. Family Nelson.More

Fabulous Hotel with stunning views
The staff are all very friendly and efficient. The service is wonderful - Carla and Fresesco and their colleagues on reception are brilliant. Antoniona the Maitra Di is tremendous and the dining room staff are wonderful. Giuseppe is so entertaining in the pool area/bar. The inside of the hotel is immaculate, the gardens are are really lovely and well cared for. The views are quite stunning. Rooms on the car park side have the sun all day, the rooms at the front overlook the city and the bay of Naples - stunning. We shall be returning in 2020.More
