TUI SENSIMAR Nastro Azzurro
Standout views and a romantic rooftop bar set this hotel apart from the crowd. It’s no wonder it’s a TripAdvisor award winner.
This hotel is set high above Sorrento, with views over the bays of Naples and Salerno. Getting out and about is easy, too, thanks to a free shuttle bus that whisks you to the town centre in 15 minutes.
The hotel has bagged a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award – and it’s easy to see why people rate it so highly. As well as a smart pool scene, there’s a couple of sleek restaurants and a rooftop cocktail bar.

We had a lovely week here in September, the staff were superb in all areas. We arrived late and were presented with a beautiful selection of Salads, cold cuts fish and cheese all plated up and very nicely presented. The room was nice and well up to the standard I would expect for a hotel of this rating. There were some nice touches, the coffee machine in the room was very nice for early mornings. The hotel was quite full but there was no problem getting a sunbed around the pool even at 10 or 11. The all inclusive food and drinks were the best European all inclusive we've had and we have been to lots! The location is excellent as it's out of the hustle and bustle of Sorrento but there's a shuttle bus to town. All in all a super hotel for the money we'll definitely be back.More
We had a very nice one week stay at the Tui Sensimar Nastro Azzuro in Sorrento. The food was fresh and varied and the evening meal was a mixture of buffet and chosen courses. The drinks were fab, they certainly did not stint on quality or quantity. There was more than 50 different cocktails to choose from, all made fresh and individual my favourites Pink Lady,as well as shorts and lager. There was several different wines on offer alongside prosecco and they always offered the whole bottle to you. Our room whilst not large was very clean and comfortable, with loads of storage space, a small balcony overlooking the garden, which unfortunately does need some tending to make it more appealing to look at. All the staff at the hotel were really attentive and friendly, we never had to wait for a drink and service in the restaurant was always good. I loved how in the evenings when the entertainment was on the bar staff often got involved too. Whilst the entertainment was low key, there were several live singers and the Saturday night duo was fab. The only reason that I only gave 4 stars is due to the fact the hotel really does need to spend money and time improving the outdoor areas. The pathways were in need of renovating, the gardens looked drab and neglected, they really did let the overall look of the hotel down. There were loads of harden furniture about but the whole garden had a neglected look and not very inviting. There are several untidy outdoor buildings and areas about that are a real eyesore and they really need to improve upon this. This would really improve the ambience and enjoyment of the hotel if these area were looked at. We visited Pompeii on our own steam, using the shuttle bus to Sorrento, then the train to Pompeii which was only €4.80 return. €15 to enter Pompeii, this was a fab day out. We did the Amalfi Coast boat from the harbour, we arranged this at the travel agent at the Train Station it cost €50 each and was a lovely day out with fabulous photo opportunities. We stopped at Positino and Amalfi, it was a long day but really worthwhile. All in all a lovely holiday and as long as you are aware of the isolation of the hotel which we chose it for that reason then you should have a good time.More
Just spent a delightful 7nts at this hotel. The staff are all wonderful and helpful, I cannot understand some of the negative reviews. We had a large well decorated immaculate room (522 ) great views of Vesuvius across to Amalfi coast. This hotel makes a great base for seeing the sites of the region with the free shuttle bus making regular return trips into Sorrento (15mins) only 7KM. Ease of access into the town and the quietness off the mountain views is a bonus. The hotel is clean and tidy with admittedly and few exterior places requiring some attention but I’m sure the hotel as most have a regular maintenance program throughout the year. We thought the food was good with a good selection of drinks available. Poached eggs to die for at breakfast. Nice heated outside pool and jacuzzi’s in the gardens .. Would definitely return... More

Been for a week to this hotel. I have been to Sorrento 3 times. Last twice at Atlantic Palace. After reading a lot of reviews which describe this hotel as “amazing” and lots of people returning I was expecting it to be great. I unfortunately I was very disappointed. Location very very remote, hotel provide a shuttle bus into Sorrento (15 mins journey) but it is difficult to get out and walk and explore yourself. Anyone with any mobility problems of any kind would really struggle here. Food everything is mainly buffet. A couple of nights were table service. All the food is tepid at best, repetitive every day and bland with very little flavour. The themed nights were better but still most of the food was very tasteless. Breakfast egg station was nice at least it was fresh and hot in temperature as cooked in front of you. Waiting staff - all excellent and all work really hard. The young guy on the egg station very miserable though. The older gentleman was lovely. Drinks - TERRIBLE all very watered, cocktails although a vast choice on the menu all made with non branded spirits and too heavy on the alcohol making them not easy to drink. The wine choices at dinner - were very poor. Bar staff - extremely miserable most of the time. Almost felt like it was a chore to serve you. Rooms our room was on the first floor of main building - and was lovely . Modern decor with a nice big balcony. It was Noisy at night though as directly above where the entertainment was held. Housekeeping - excellent couldn’t fault this. Very clean. Best part of the hotel. Trips do not book with TUI, grossly overpriced Book for almost half the price yourself via Expedia, and Viator for exactly the same thing. We did amalfi drive, Capri by boat. Both were amazing. We booked one trip with Tui - train trip. It didn’t arrive to collect us on checking our trip booking had not reached the operator. Spoke to Patti and got a full refund so no real issue for us other than slightly inconvenient. Mistakes happen. Pool and surrounding area looked lovely however weather was so poor we couldn’t use it all week. Weather can’t be predicted :) Entertainment Absolutely useless- Get yourself on the shuttle bus to Sorrento at night for some decent food drinks and a bit of atmosphere. This hotel has no atmosphere at night. On the whole would I return to this hotel- definitely NOT. There are much nicer located hotels in Sorrento the sister hotel Atlantic Palace or the Bristol is much better, with much nicer staff I am afraid. We realise it was towards the end of the season and staff were maybe a little tired which is understandable. A definite no to returning for me to this hotel. Sorrento and surrounding areas though are absolutely wonderful just not this hotel. Ps although a mixture of opinions on this hotel. I should imagine with better weather it would be a better experience as you would spend less time in the hotel. More
Didnt want to leave
