WHEN TO GO
You’re all but guaranteed good weather in Greece in the summer. Temperatures are usually in the 30s, plus you can expect about 12 hours of sunshine a day. And as for rain, you’ll hardly see a drop in July and August. If you prefer things a bit cooler, spring and autumn see plenty of sun, but temperatures are a bit more comfortable, in the mid-20s. These shoulder months are a great time to visit if you’re into walking or sightseeing, as it’s not too hot, even in the peak of the day. You might experience some rain showers from time to time, too.

Health & Safety
You should take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover you while you’re away. It’s also a good idea to get a European Health Insurance Card – or EHIC – before leaving the UK. Though it’s not a substitute for travel insurance, it entitles you to emergency medical treatment on the same terms as Greek nationals. It won’t, however, cover you for medical repatriation, ongoing medical treatment or non-urgent treatment. Passports and Visas
British citizens don’t need a visa to enter Greece but must have a valid passport. For the most up-to-date passport and visa info, visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/greece/entry-requirements
