My partner and I stayed here for a week in October and could not fault a thing except maybe the sugary cocktails. We had a swim up room with great views of the sea. The food was excellent and there was a lot of choice. The beach is lovely and shallow and the views are stunning in the distance. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We did visit Corfu Old Town on the shuttle bus and the only complaint would be that you only had a couple of hours before the bus returned. Having said that we could have booked a taxi next time. All in all it was a lovely relaxing holiday in a gorgeous hotel.More
family holiday 20th september for one week .i will start with a negative we arrived in the evening and i will be honest first impressions was the hotel looked dated but clean so initially disappointed ,our room overlooked a cliff (a very nice cliff) but the room was shaded ,so we did ask for another room but they were fully booked and there finishes the negative :) this hotel turned out to be one of the best hotels we have stayed in. the beach and its views ,the outside space the hotel has ,the food excellent something for everyone ,the staff are all lovely every single member of staff we met were happy friendly and helpful so first class customer service a credit to the hotel .so i know i started with a negative but first impressions could't have been more wrong we will definitely be coming back so i would highly recommend this hotel to anyoneMore
Fantastic hotel to get away from it all
Our second visit to the Louis Grand, we were not disappointed. The hotel is set on a great sandy beach with gently sloping sands into the water. Yes the hotel is not the most modern, but we liked that. All of the staff are amazing, always smiling and helping where they can. A particular mention for Costa who was always attentive and helpful. The food offers a reasonable selection every night and was well cooked and hot. Overall another great stay, see you all next year!More
You won’t regret sayingYamas in the Louis Grand
Stayed here with my daughter for 1 week after being on a cruise. We needed time to relax after a hectic previous week. To say this hotel was perfect for that, is an understatement! The Louis Grand must have one of the most enviable hotel sites in Corfu. Positioned on a pristine beach at Glyfada, this is paradise for beach lovers. The long stretch of beach is immaculately clean. A soft, sandy beach, ideal for kids, safe for swimmers, perfect for pedalos, and jet skis. (Shhhh, with a nudist section) We found the al fresco area off the dining area the perfect place to enjoy our meals. You can enjoy the spectacular sunsets in the evening. Which is why you MUST be early to claim the best table, you have been warned! Amazingly the Mura Asian restaurant can be booked 3 times per week at NO extra cost! The portions are small, but plentiful, and we recommend it. Rooms are spacious with free water and free wi fi and also a fridge. Entertainment is mainly traditional Greek as expected. Hotel supplies a mini bus to Corfu town 4 times per day (35 mins). Either return with hotel bus or stay longer and get local Green bus back. A Must visit is nearby Pelekas. This secret hideaway was made famous by the German prince Kaiser Wilhelm II. The A number 1 viewing point in all of Corfu, the Kaiser’s Throne is named after him and has the most spectacular views of the island. Do Not Miss this unspoilt, authentic Corfu Gem! There is only one more thing to say about the Louis Grand, ‘’ Yamas’’More
Great hotel, lovely staff, great food. Plenty of space for everyone. Right on the beach, crystal clear water....loads of sun beds and parasols. My daughter and I had a great time here..it’s very peaceful. It is the only hotel on this beach! It’s about 12 km from Corfu town which is quaint and definitely worth a visit. There is a free bus from the hotel to the town but you must book it beforehand. Getting back is easy too...local bus or taxi. Plenty to see here and lovely cafes/ restaurants. Hotel is very clean and tidy, large sitting areas. The bars are great...pool bar does get busy in the day..but the staff are fabulous. Do try their cocktails! We had a lovely room plenty of hanging space...great shower. Unfortunately our room didn’t get any sunshine in the day as we overlooked the front of the hotel...it didn’t bother us..but it was hard to dry swimwear...always slightly damp but dried them off the next day on the beach. There is a kids club and entertainment programme...it’s basic but then doesn’t intrude on your holiday. There is a spa and gym . We used the spa....it was good..again not pushed on you. It’s held outside as it is so hot here ..even in October....not as peaceful as I would have liked but enjoyable. There are beach activities and a privately run beach station which has jet skis, boats , settees pulled by speed boat, kayaks etc. We had a tour up the coast in a boat ...it’s was fun and enjoyed it. A little expensive but we are on holiday . There are a few beach bars and shops just outside the hotel ....they stock the usual souvenirs etc, papers etc It was a great holiday and would recommend this holiday . There are quite a few steps but disability access to most areas. Lifts in the hotel are plentiful . Do try the Japanese restaurant..it was fantastic....book in advance with reception...staff there are wonderful ....they can sort most problems ..they are very efficient.More
