Best all inclusive hotel that we've been too, never had anybody say no to any request that we made. The hotel itself was really nice and the beach was really clean. Food at all the al a carte restaurants was brilliant, only negative was that the food at the evening buffet was a bit lacking in hot vegetarian food.More
Perfect Hospitality, worthy of all the praise
This hotel brand deserves all it’s success & accolades. Most of the hotels were pre-existing, this includes Ikos Dassia. There is nothing exceptional in the room design. What is exceptional is the universally wonderful staff, all chosen & trained to give the highest degree of hospitality. There’s very little to see & do in neighbouring Dassia, but you do have easy access to Corfu town that is worth a visit. Advice for booking Ikos Dassia for 2020: 1. Room Choice: Sea Building is slightly smaller / more intimate than Sky. Sky is probably better for families. Both offer sea views. The lower level rooms will have a view dominated by the roof of the restaurant buildings below. Panorama view rooms just have a double size balcony. Be aware that the ‘garden view’ rooms of Sea Building just have a view of the main road outside - you wouldn’t really want to sit on the balcony! 2. Restaurants. All truly wonderful, from food, wine to service. Try to book as many as you can in advance, particularly 'Anaya' which is both the smallest & most popular. 3. You must book the car hire & the boat trip to Vido Island - a truly amazing evening, watching the sun set over Corfu town, with live music & wonderful food. The Rex restaurant in Corfu town was OK but nothing exceptional after Ikos. The regular coach transfer into town was unfortunately unreliable as it was regularly full or occasionally cancelled. I would also definitely recommend the boat hire. Run by a local family for the last 30 years. Very well maintained boats & definitely a highlight of our stay.More
Good but shame they started closing down before guests left
My Wife and I took a week in a delux bungalow with pool. It was worth the extra money with wonderful outside seating area and pool. Room 3008. Has good view to the beach and sea between the ultra expensive sea front bungalows. I will not bang on about the all inclusive if you have read other reviews they give enough detail. Recommendations to eat Kerkyra and Anaya. The buffet is good but the a la carte restaurants are very good. Book early reservations difficult to get once you arrive. My only negatives are as follows. The hotel had reduced staff levels as it was the last week of the season, even though hotel was full, and it put pressure on the service levels. Room cleaning was very patchy and sometimes not done until 3 or 4pm. Staff working 15 days without a break. The hotel needs to consider its environmental impact. They serve all water on the beach in plastic bottles. This must run into tens of thousands of used bottles over the course of a season. This is unacceptable. Lastly it was very sad that for the last two days of our stay , and the season, the hotel started to clear walkways from the beach, empty the wine displays from the wine bar and generally start to close down. Not what you expect when still paying £400 plus a night for a room. Overall I would totally recommend the resort and would go back but not at the end of the season. More
Blissful family luxury
The hotel is right on the beach on the north east of Corfu with a gorgeous view of the Albanian/Greek hills across the sea; and comprises 2 separate hotel buildings, as well as groups of 2 and 3 storey houses. There are family pools, children's play areas, adult pools, beach loungers and sun-umbrellas, restaurants and bars - and all filled with wonderful staff, endlessly friendly and helpful. There is a range of food styles to choose from, and all the restaurants serve fresh, bright and really tasty food (while also catering to children's and adult's particular needs). It is wrong to want to forget the rest of the world, but it is so tempting here. It's beautiful, the facilities are wonderful, and Corfu is glorious.More
Special birthday holiday
My wife and I visited the Ikos Dassia resort from the the 19th to the 26th of October this year. This was to celebrate my wife's 65th birthday. Although we had visited other Ikos resorts in Halkidiki and Kos, this was our first visit to the Dassia. What can I say that adequately expresses our experience during the week? Well, it was nothing short of wonderful and more than maintains the very high standards already established at the other Ikos resorts we have had the pleasure to visit. Everything, from the quality of the room to the stunning coastal surroundings was of the highest standard. Nothing was a problem for the staff. The standard of customer service, at every level, was superb and always delivered with a smile. The food and beverage standard was as usual extremely high. In fact, on reflection there is nothing negative about the Dassia and I would defy anyone to visit for a holiday and come away disappointed. It is very hard to single out individual members of staff for praise as everyone we encountered was so friendly and accommodating but, special thanks must go to Skerdi and Katerina from Customer Relations for all they did for us during our stay. And also it was so good seeing Solomon, from Flavours Restaurant whom we met during a visit to the Ikos Aria in Kos earlier in the year. Thanks to everyone at the Dassia for making our holiday a fantastic experience. We hope to see you all soon.More
