A few nights break after a cruise
With our week cruise over we thought we’d have an extra few nights holiday in Corfu. We chose Kerkyra Family Life based on its reviews and we’re not disappointed. The buffet food is good with a wide variety for all meals. The pools are a reasonable size and not too crowded (at this time of year at least). The entertainment is ok but multilingual. There’s even a small beach to enjoy. Corfu town is only 15 minutes away on the local bus (just €1.20 each way) and the beer and cocktails are certainly drinkable! 😉🍹More
great for kids
we recently stayed here for a week and had a lovely time. the hotel is really nice, clean, rooms are clean and comfy, we had a sea view room which is worth it for the views. the food was delicious plenty of choice, there is a kids only section for little ones to choose from, if you miss breakfast there is a late breakfast section which also serves pizzas and snacks at lunchtime. the Tui team were fantastic! they really put themselves into entertaining the children and making sure everyone has a good time. the entertainment and shows they put on were fantastic. we only left the hotel once to go to corfu town which cost 10 euros in a taxi each way. the only thing i can complain about was the tea and coffee facility in the room wasn't replenished every day and the maid left the dirty spoons i had used and not clean ones. you get a free bottle of water in your room every day.More
It does exactly what it says on the tin!
This is an all inclusive family life hotel, it is superb for families - lots of activities, plenty of space, a great choice of fantastic food and drink. The TUI staff work so hard to keep families entertained & the hotel staff are efficient. As you will already be aware it’s up a 1/4 mile long driveway directly on to a dual carriageway, there are no bars and restaurants within easy walking distance, but the bus stop is right outside and there is a very quick and easy bus into Corfu town or the other way to a couple of other resorts. The hotel is kept very clean, even the toilets by the pools. Sun beds were readily available, if you wanted a certain spot get up & get it (7.30-8am) otherwise there were generally beds available here and there. It seemed that food was available from the time breakfast opened to around 11pm. I thought it would be the usual all inclusive food but was very impressed with the Greek food on offer, including a huge bowl of feta, tzatziki and stuffed vine leaves for every buffet! Sea views rooms are breath-taking & definitely worth paying for! I can’t really fault this hotel apart from the fact that it still allows smokers all over, which I think is pretty poor for a family hotel. It would be great to have 1 designated smoking area (pref a little further away) so that when you are relaxing on your sun bed or sat outside of the bar of an evening you don’t get smoked out. More
Perfect for family fun
This was our first time staying at a Tui family life hotel and the first time we had travelled during the school holidays and I dont think we could have picked a better hotel. Our room was cleaned daily and the partition in the room gave our 3 year old the feeling of having her own room which she loved. Our water in the mini fridge was topped as as and when required without asking. The entertainment team were amazing there were a constant stream of activities going on without any pressure to join in. The evening entertainment was probably the best we had seen in a hotel and we normally travel long haul. We tried both a la cart restuaraunts and they were good. Having been advised by a guest that the Greek wasnt that great we were pleasantly surprised as both myself and my husband enjoyed the meal and would have liked to visit it again. The buffet food offered a wide selection and as we ate earlier due to having a small child we never found it was too busy. There was an issue with bees around Thea's coffee but I dont think this is specific to the hotel as we have seen it in a few hotels we have visited. We would highly reccomend the hotel for a family holiday and would consider returning.More
Still as good as before, the only disappointment were that they are still using plastic straws which is this day and age shouldn’t be happening. The other very annoying thing is the amount of wasps. They should really have wasps traps around the restaurant areas as sometimes we had 4+ wasps to deal with and ended up sitting mostly inside which is a shame. Other than that the hotel is still very clean (despite what other reviews are saying, they are cleaning all the time and it’s really some guests that are idiots and careless imo). The food was mostly really nice. Couple of disappointing evenings but other than that the stews and carvery corner was always delicious. For us one of the main reason for keeping coming back is the rooms being nicely insulated so we are not woken up by neighbours, also the proximity to town -15mins by bus €1.5 each, great kids club and the general friendliness of staffs. We will certainly come back again but please stop using plastic straws!!!More
