This hotel has luxury retreat written all over it. It’s put down its roots in a beachfront spot that makes the most of the sweeping sea views.
You’ll find the brand new Thalassa Suites on the north side of the island, shouldered by thick greenery and Acharavi’s eight-kilometre-long stretch of sand.
Stylish suites come as standard, and they all feature marble floors and lots of stone and glass. Each one has a slate-grey bathroom with a rainfall shower, and views of the manicured gardens or the Ionian Sea.

Beautiful relaxing accommodation
I spent two weeks at this hotel with my husband in August. The accommodation is fabulous. We had a double room on the top floor with full sea view which was amazing. We had a small kitchen area with a sofa. Everything had been done to a high standard. There were always plenty of sun loungers to go round. We tended to spend the morning around the pool and drag some loungers on to the beach in front on the bar in the afternoon. The beach and sea in front of the hotel is great. Never busy as the bay runs for miles. The bottom of the sea was sandy and shelves gently. The breakfast at the hotel was good and provided everything that you would expect. The staff were excellent and very friendly, especially Emmy who was always smiling. We had a couple of evening meals at the hotel and they were also excellent. The bar served very good value lunches. The portions were generous and enough to share between two. We walked into Acharavi one evening along the beach which took around 30 minutes. We planned to get a taxi back but there were none in sight so we walked back. Apparently all the taxis spend their time doing airport runs in the high season and are almost impossible to book for short runs. We found some excellent restaurants if you walk along the road from the hotel in the other direction. They were very relaxed and most were right on the beach so you could watch the sunset. We didn’t have a bad meal in any of them - Petra, Ava, George’s, Zephros and Mythos were all excellent. The staff at the Thalassa Suites were all excellent and very friendly. Anna Maria and Aphrodite on reception were particularly helpful and always smiling. Anna Maria spent time with us showing us where to visit on a map when we hired a car and Aphrodite sorted us out with very good reasonable priced car hire very efficiently. Sissy, the TUI rep was also very helpful and friendly. In summary, high quality accommodation with excellent staff. Peaceful and relaxing location with plenty of nice restaurants for the evening. Thank you Thalassa suites 😊More
I booked a duplex and a double for a family of five (covering three generations). The rooms are spacious and the staff ensure they are spotlessly cleaned every single day. The beach is so close you can flick a pebble onto it - not even a stones throw away. The facilities and environment are super-relaxing (even with two young children). The staff could not be more helpful and friendly - the first holiday where I can honestly say I knew every member of staff by name. The lay-out of the 32 rooms (I think) leads to a sense of space and tranquility (amazing given it was high season) - not everyone sitting right next to everyone else. This is a really well thought through offering; well chosen bar music - no intrusive bass being foisted upon you. Very stylish; just high quality and standards from start to finish. One evening when we couldn't get a taxi (due to children - but otherwise walkable along the beach), the manager simply drive us to the village himself! Although, there are about 5 good restaurants in walking distance too. Well done to Yannis and the whole Thalassa team; you made this the best holiday we've ever had!More
A truly excellent beach holiday
We were a bit apprehensive about our holiday at Thalassa suites with the hotel and grounds being so new, but we couldn't recommend it more. Everything about this place is 5-star. The staff were particularly excellent. They seem to really invest in the enjoyment and wellbeing of their customers without being overbearing. Every single member of staff we came across was polite, upbeat, and never failed to say hello, including the cleaners and ground keeping staff. The rooms are modern and chic and always kept clean. The breakfast is brilliant for a small hotel, with a daily offering of cereals, pastries, a fruit bar, a salad bar, and a range of hot foods. It was wonderful that the staff provided a breakfast pack for the day of our departure as we were due to leave before the breakfast service opened. It was also brilliant to be greeted with a drink and some food kept aside upon arrival. I really liked that you could hop out of the pool and walk straight onto the stunning beach. It's stunning to see the sunset reflecting into the Albanian mountains. The hotel bar is a bit pricey but nothing more than what you would expect for any 5 star hotel. We ate at the restaurant twice and thoroughly enjoyed each time. Thank you all at Thalassa Suites for an excellent holiday. More
Perfect beach get away
We spent a week here in July. The rooms are large with plenty of storage and cooking facilities. There is a patio or balcony for dining on own food. Most garden view rooms also seem to have a sea view, albeit at an angle. The staff are excellent: Emmy, Marina, Yannis, Aphrodite, Artemis & Anne Marie were attentive and seem genuinely interested in helping their guests. Top cleaning staff too although I did not catch their names! It is a 60 second walk to the beach (so about 90 seconds to the sea!), and a 15 minute walk along the beach to the tavernas and bars. The sea is warm and clean with views to Albania. Some days it was calm, some days a good surf. There is a bar and restaurant on site offering upgrade to half board at 15 euro per person. The restaurant food was good quality for the price. The bar cockails are expensive, but comparable to other bars in Acharavi. The bar serves Corfu IPA, the best of the local beers and one which is not available in many other local bars. So, is this a four or five star location? Service and room definitely 5 star. The location is out of the way of other bars and restuarants, so dock a star? No, the 15 minute isolation is a plus, not a negative. It is not too far too walk / take taxi if you want a change of restaurant. The beach is safe and resort is family-friendly. The rooms are well-sound proofed and very quiet at night (despite group of three twenty-somethings in the room next door!) The suites do not pretend to be a lively resort: no waterslides, cheerleaders or piped music ovcer the pool. That is what makes it special! There are two clean pools and plenty of sun loungers. The site is well-managed well-maintained & well-staffed. If anyone from Thalassa reads this then one suggestion would be asking guests to sign or acknowledge expenditure as they go along. Receipts are provided for drinks but not for food. We had no issues from this as could keep track of spending, but having a bill at the end of the meal, signed to the room, would make this easier. Also, a happy hour for cocktails?More
Relaxing family holiday!
We booked in 2018 before the Thalassa Suites had even been built, and were quite nervous about booking 'off-plan', although we had lots of reassurance from the FB page, and very helpful comments from TripAdvisor forums. We shouldn't have worried! The hotel was exactly like the architect images, and was exactly what we wanted. We stayed for 2 weeks in a duplex. It was plenty big enough for the 4 of us (2 adults, 2 children). Beds were very comfy and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Housekeeping was excellent. Air-con & WiFi were very good. From arrival to checking-out, the service we received was superb. Anna-Maria and Aphrodite were always on-hand in reception - with a permanent smile - to help with anything, no matter how trivial. From breakfast in the morning, to drinks in the bar in the evening, the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We shall certainly miss our iced coffees & milkshakes from Emmy in the afternoon! Thank you to Emmy, Karla, Vangelis, Aliki, Marina, Giannis, Anna-Maria and Aphrodite, and all of the lovely behind-the-scenes in the restaurant, housekeeping and maintenance. We're one group of many that you see throughout the season and will probably be forgotten, but you made a lasting impression on us - thank you!More
