A lovely holiday
My partner and I stayed here for 10 nights from the 24th July. Pros- Fantastic staff particularly Julia who was very friendly and chatty. We also loved Jan who served us around the pool, he was hilarious and catered to our every need. Location was great, just a short, cheap bus trip into Paphos, definitely worth it! No matter what time we went down to the pool, we always got fantastic sunbeds. The Sundowner on a Friday evening, was a lovely touch with champagne and canopes, as well as seeing the most beautiful sunset. We were given a complimentary late checkout as we weren't getting collected until 9pm, which was a lovely touch and we didn't have to pay for it. The a la carte meals were delicious. Range of drinks was good. Water aerobics was fun everyday! The Reception staff were amazing, any issues you had were dealt with very quickly. The Cypriot night was entertaining and delicious. Cons - Only being able to visit two of the a la cartes during our stay. There's only so much buffet food a girl can eat. As hard as they tried, the entertainment wasn't great. As a young couple (26 and 31) we expected this hotel to be a little bit more lively, there was barely anything to do past 10:30pm. The card system was a bit of a pain. On our first day we ordered drinks at our sunbeds, and a member of staff brought another person's card back. It then took around two hours to resolve this and try and find our card, but luckily we had Jan on hand, and he sorted the job out for us! More
An amazing, romantic holiday.
Wow! Me and my partner have just come back from the most amazing week away at Pioneer Beach Hotel. I can definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a couples getaway. Upon arrival we notified the reception that we were celebrating an occasion. Once available, they upgraded us to an amazing room with a fantastic view of the sea. These rooms were fantastically maintained by the friendly cleaning staff at the hotel. There was a mini-fridge which had a range of drinks (soft and alcoholic) which we enjoyed throughout our stay. The food at the hotel was much better than expected, with a great variety of dishes available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All the dining staff were very friendly, especially the chef who was on the oriental section each night! Drinks are top notch. Good brands are included in the all inclusive package and they are always made generously. Some people on here have complained about service time however there is no issue with ordering 2 or 3 drinks at a time. The TUI staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly. There are two downsides to the hotel. One being the shocking use of disposable plastic. It is everywhere. Stirrers, straws, cups, pots, bottles - TUI should be addressing this. The other being the evening entertainment. Some of the entertainment was questionable and a little awkward at times due to it's lacking quality. Not all though.More
Great Place for a wonderful holiday
I have just returned from a one week stay in Aug 2019 with my wife and family at the Pioneer Beach Hotel. This is the 3rd Constantinou Brothers Hotel in Paphos that we have stayed in the last 2 years. Each of them have their own individual characteristics and each have the common theme of excellence. Great locations, clean comfortable rooms, fabulous food and most courteous and attentive staff to ensure a fabulous holiday. The all inclusive deal at the Pioneer Beach included provision to eat in each of the three themed restaurants within the week at no extra cost where excellent service accompanied the fabulous food. The wonderful tender fillet steaks were exceptional ! The choice of foods varied throughout the week was outstanding. There was a choice of wines available and the drinks overall within the package were of top international brands. Service was was extremely courteous and efficient as one was continually addressed with a pleasant greeting and a smile. Sincere complements to the Chefs, all of the restaurant and bar staff, the front office stall and those who kept the rooms clean and well serviced. Just a special mention for Valia Machaira, Rooms Manageress who was extremely helpful.More
Would definitely recommend this hotel. Have reviewed each part below: CHECK IN: Check in was very quick and easy - they also gave us a glass of orange juice to have whilst we checked in. FOOD: The food at this hotel was excellent. We were half board and never ate at the a la carte restaurants but we’re still very impressed. I am a very fussy eater but had plenty to eat every night and very big portions. You could even have a roast dinner each night if you wished. The chefs wanted you to be happy and would even ask if you wanted the skin left on the chicken for you! There were also gluten free options. ROOM: We stayed in a limited sea view room. It was a standard size room with an en-suite. There is an option to upgrade to a suite if you would like more space. The beg is very big and incredibly comfortable. Toiletries were provided and replenished everyday. There was a complimentary bottle of red wine, water and fruit in our room. Dressing gowns and slippers were provided as well as plenty of beach towels for you to use every day. There is also a mini fridge for you to keep drinks / food cold. The TV is big but lacks many English channels however we didn’t come away to watch TV so this was not an issue. POOL/BEACH: The pool was a good size. Aqua aerobics was very fun, there was about 50 people doing it each day. The pool water was nice and warm. The beach is sandy but as you enter the water it turns rocky. I would definitely recommend bringing sea shoes as the rocks are then not an issue. There is a jetty which allows you to get into the sea avoiding the rocks. The sea water is not too cold. Further down the beach was a water sports centre which offered things such as jet skis and banana boats etc. There was always plenty of sun loungers to choose from, each with a sun parasol for shade. ENTERTAINMENT: The entertainment was good but finished at about 10/10:30pm every night. There was a magician / comedy show, casino night, quiz night, Cypriot night, acrobatics night, white party and live singers. These were mostly run by TUI and were very fun! If you were late to dinner you could still watch the beginning of the entertainment from the outside seating area. LOCAL AREA: The local waterpark is a short walk from the hotel, you can even see it from the front of the hotel. The waterpark is good but very busy. Paphos is a short bus ride away costing €1.50 each way. There is a small supermarket a short walk to the right of the hotel and a lot of restaurants and supermarkets about a 15/20 minute walk to the left of the hotel. OVERALL: If you’re after a beautiful, relaxing holiday I would definitely recommend this hotel.More
We wanted a week of complete relaxation and that’s what we got. The hotel is in a beautiful setting in a quiet area. The All Inclusive package was definitely worth it. The food was excellent in the buffet restaurant and you could have two a la carte dinners in the beautiful patio area over looking the sea(recommend booking in time for sunset!) Huge range of drinks with proper brands. The staff are brilliant - there are so many of them ready to help you and they are so friendly. There are plenty of sunbeds - you can choose near the pool or looking out at the sea and there was lots of room between couples on the grass. It is so easy to swim safely in the sea which was a bonus for us. The room was very clean with a huge bed and comfy pillows. The rain shower is lovely! 45 mins walk to Paphos harbour. We did this one evening but we felt like we didn’t really want to leave the hotel. There is a small but fairly well equipped gym. The pool isn’t huge but had a nice chilled atmosphere and you can order drinks from the pool bar. More
