Alexander the Great Beach Hotel
This Blue Flag beach-hugging property is great for exploring Paphos, and offers loads of reasons to stay put, too, from the picture-perfect views to the chic pool scene.
Alexander the Great Beach Hotel has one of the best postcodes in Paphos. It’s right by a sandy, Blue Flag beach, and it's just a five-minute walk – along a scenic seafront path – to the shops, bars and restaurants in the stylish harbour.
You can look forward to sweeping views of the sea and across to Paphos' harbour and Medieval castle when you stay here. The hotel itself also has looks on its side, with a smart infinity pool setting the scene. What's more, the property earned a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice award and Certificate of Excellence in 2019.

Great friendly hotel
2nd time staying at this hotel. Has a lovely friendly welcoming Atmosphere. Beautiful position alongside a lovely walkway into Pathos . Beautiful views of the sea & Pathos harbour. It has a lovely pool area with allocated sunbeds which we love, as no queuing for sunbeds or having to put towels on before 7 in the mornings. Rooms are very clean & spacious most with sea views. Choice of resturaunts within the hotel main one being buffet style with great choice of foods to suit all tastes. Deserts are to die for. Hotel staff are very friendly & very helpful. Will definately reccomend the Alexander the Great Hotel.More
My Mother and I enjoyed almost two weeks half board in this excellent hotel over New Year and into January 2020. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and family. The beds were easily the largest and most comfortable I've ever slept on.... and for the first time ever my elderly Mum didn't request a topper! I made regular use of the really well maintained gym, spa (super massages) and pool (so warm it was like bathwater....bliss!) and as the weather blew a hoolie outside we enjoyed the sumptuous food and watched the forces of nature perform as the waves crashed over the rocks. Exhilarating to be standing on the safety of the sheltered room balcony only metres from the raging sea! Special mention must go to Xenia and the restaurant meeters and greeters who warmly welcomed us each evening and kindly/patiently tended to Mum's requests for cushions to sit on etc etc! Thanks also to Christopher for his love, care and first aid skills when Mum took a tumble on our final morning and ended up in Intensive Care.... and to the Reception team and Flawia the Guest Relations Manager for so readily and easily helping with all the arrangements. We couldn't have wished for a better base for our holiday!More
Holiday with the girls
This was an absolutely brilliant hotel the best I have ever stayed in. The staff could not have been more courteous or friendly from the management down to the maintenance staff. The bar staff were fantastic and looked after us every night. The restaurant had a great choice of food, something for everyone. The entertainment team worked incredibly hard and always had time to chat to the customers. All in all a fantastic holiday and I will definitely be back in the future. Absolutely faultless. Well done and thanks for a great holiday. More
Great hotel & location
Loved the hotel and location. Catered for all within our large group. However, do not understand the dress code for men in a buffet restaurant. Cant enforce long trousers & no open toe shoes but allow women in hot pants & flip flops. Smart/casual tailored shorts should be allowed. Ridiculous. More
