The perfect hotel to stay in when visiting Dubrovnik. Location is in a quiet area, away from the Old city crowds and jam, yet close enough to all the main attractions. There is a regular shuttle service between the hotel and the old city. Breakfast is excellent, rooms are clean and spacious. The beach, despite being pebbly, is immaculately clean and very scenic. You can catch a great sunset from the outdoor lounge. Highly recommended.More
Most stunning hotel we have ever been too. The views are something you can never get bored of. The whole place is spotless including the rooms. There is a shop on site to buy bus tickets and bus stop right outside the hotel is the start and end of the bus line, great link to the old town. Breakfast buffet food is great, the staff are sometimes a little slow at setting tables up etc. The cocktails in the bar were delicious It was my partners birthday during our stay and the hotel left him a note and small gift which was a nice gesture I have since recommended this hotel to two colleagues both who have already stayed and also loved it. We hope to return one day.More
Large hotel with beautiful views
We spent 4 nights here in a really good size room, huge and really comfortable bed. Bath and shower- & bidet ( thank you !!) and nice toiletries including hair conditioner. Well stocked and reasonable minibar. Service all round was excellent- cleaner was a bit hit and miss on replacing eg no tissues after day 1; no replacement dried milk and coffee, but not a huge deal. Staff in restaurant were excellent. Wine reasonable price ( local and quite nice). Food was pretty good but often a question of timing ( eg hell when the coach parties arrive and the show cooking dishes of interest eg razor clams/mussels- both got strimmed over two nights while we ate starters and were not replaced- disappointing. Good choice of food and great desserts. Breakfast al fresco was lovely. Pools good - indoor and out. Beach- make sure you take beach shoes as stones and very slippery getting in the sea. Really nice and peaceful and beach towels supplied. The downside is the lack of atmosphere at night in the bar. Huge spaces in hotel and another bar would have been nice. Neighbouring hotel grounds had a rather disappointing set of shops and bars but we found these a bit grim so did the lovely walk to the Cave Bar at the More hotel or the extra 10 mins along the sea promenade where there are loads of bars and eateries. It was super to be able to get a short bus trip to the old town from literally outside the hotel and see everything at different times of day. Overall quality hotel and good value for money.More
Not a 5 star hotel
I have been to many 5 star hotels around the world and this is not 5 star. Big resort like hotel, rooms are very tired and need upgrading. Sauna is average but quite small, they allowed children in so it was not relaxing at all. Reception were friendly enough. I would stay somewhere else if in Dubrovnik The breakfast however was of a good standard. More
