Hotel Rixos Libertas Dubrovnik
This luxury hotel has a great dining scene and a spot on the beach. It’s even got a casino.
Tiered into a cliffside, this contemporary hotel gets panoramic views across the Adriatic Sea. It’s right on a rocky beach with bathing platforms. And just above the beach you’ll find a big pool and a huge spa.
The hotel has three restaurants, with special mention going to the seafood place. It also has the only casino in town. Dubrovnik’s Old Town is about a 20-minute walk away.

Excellent customer service
Very friendly check in with a complementary upgrade to a sea view, balcony room as the hotel was quiet in winter. The staff were all exceptional. Breakfast was an excellent buffet catering to western consumers with omelettes cooked to order. The indoor pool was very warm and big enough to swim in. The hotel was spotlessly clean with abundant toiletries and teas and coffees. There is no way of locking your bedroom door from the inside and there is no chain and it was unbelievably hot overnight with no room thermostat which made it quite sticky with the heating on. But that didn’t detract from the enjoyment of the break. The view from the lobby is fantastic and there are comfortable chairs to lounge in and enjoy the view. As it’s winter, the casino wasn’t open and the Old City has a few cafes open but the city is pretty much closed with all but the odd restaurant closed up for winter or maintenance. Saying that, you get the place pretty much to yourself which is a real treat. Getting here was straightforward. The shuttle bus waits for the passengers from the arriving plane to collect their bags and get in the bus before leaving. The first stop is ‘Pile Gate’ which is one of the entrances into the old City. Get off and either walk up the hill for 10-15 minutes to the hotel of walk over the road and get the number ‘4’ bus for 15 krona and get off at the second stop. Cross the road and go down the first left to the hotel. Very easy to get to and you can see it all along the coast road on your left, so you can’t miss it.n I would definitely recommend. More
We were staying at the hotel for new years weekend...The food was delicious...Staff was nice...Clean rooms...Great wiew...Just 15min walk to old town and cable car (gondola/žičara)...We liked it very much and will go back again in the future.More
First and foremost, love the hotel in all aspects. Great pool area and distance to the old town was just perfect, close enough to have a nice stroll and the privacy of a resort. I was most impressed on how professional the reservation team was, particularly, Ms Mijo Petric which was extremely helpful and even asked of my condition when I corresponded. I had made a non refundable booking and due to certain unforeseen situation, I was not able to make it on the the booking date. I shared my predicament and the hotel graciously allowed me to move my dates. This is very much appreciated for the empathy the hotel has shown and not simply mercenary which I had experienced on another hotel since I needed to cancel my other bookings. Overall, I was grateful for their hospitality and professionalism. My stay was perfect and was even given an upgrade. I highly recommend this hotel should anyone be visiting Dubrovnik. Keep it up! This is what other professional hospitality establishment should follow.More

Room was nice but had a weird smell
The room had a great view. The room was spacious and clean. The only problem was it smelled like “garbage”. I kept the balcony door opened to let in fresh air and bought a lavender sachet in Old Dubrovnik which made it better. More

New year 2107/2018
This was one of the biggest dissapointments in last several years. We spent there 3 nights and only location, perfect view and Dubrovnik fits the five star hotel. From where to start? Flooded balcoon, small rooms, cockroaches in toillet, staff, breakfast.. the lowest service level ever! BR DenisMore
