This historical hotel has a boutique feel and a harbour-front location. And its elegant restaurant is first class.
This grand old hotel had a makeover in 2008 and is now one of Dubrovnik’s most prestigious places to stay. It comes with a pool, a buffet restaurant, and a bar with award-winning cocktails.
You’ll find the Lapad next to a peaceful harbour. There’s a small pebble beach 10 minutes’ walk away, and it’s about a half-hour walk – 5 minutes in a cab – to the old town.

It’s a YES from us
We have just returned from a great week at the Lapad staying on a half board basis. We stayed in the annexe part of the hotel, the room was nice although lacking on a bit of space as I and my husband did bang our knees a few times on the corner of the bed so note to ones self take the corner wide. Considering they are catering for multiple people the hotel food was well seasoned and plentiful with lots of choice. The entertainment varied from lounge music to a brilliant Croatian band and a really chilled blues duet playing tasteful music. I’m saving my best accolade to the last the wonderful staff at the Lapad made it for us.Jovan Marie Vaska Ivanka in the restaurant and the welcoming Maitre-d . Not forgetting the lovely Mario Nikki and Jazz on reception and the room cleaners all so helpful and kind. Croatian people working in services and hospitality are the best .Thank You for making our stay so enjoyable.More
lovely holiday at hotel lapad in dubrovnik
We stopped at the Hotel Lapad for 2 weeks in August and had a lovely holiday. We found the hotel very nice and all the staff very pleasant, they were all very helpful. The pool area was a little cramped but clean and nice. The hotel was in a good location, in good range from the old town and local beaches. Breakfast at the hotel was good with a good choice however, we were a little disappointed with the half board evening meal as was a bit repetitive and sometimes of poor quality. Not a 4 star standard in my opinion. We witnessed staff tipping hot food on top of warm food which had been left standing. I picked up food which was cold and left it. We found the earlier you had your meal, the hotter it was so we had a lot of meals out at restaurants. Drinks at the hotel were reasonable in price and a good standard. Overall, we would return to the hotel but on a bed and breakfast basis, we had a nice time at the Lapad and enjoyed Dubrovnik.More
Good Position. Away from the madding crowds.
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and sorted out one or two little matters very quickly for us. The breakfasts were really amazing...such a good selection! We also found it quite peaceful being away from the old city, and yet close enough to get to everything that we had planned to do. The bus into old city stops very close by. Will definitely recommend!More

Returned home yesterday from this trip to Croatia where we stayed at Hotel Lapad. Firstly the hotel is stunning set in a relaxed location overlooking the harbour where the cruise ships sail into. There are a number of restaurants and wine bars nearby on the same road and it is only a ten minute walk to sunset beach where you will find many more places to eat, if you wish. The food at the hotel was nice. Always had something in the restaurant I enjoyed. We also walked to the old town on a number of occasions which was really nice. It took us about 40 minutes. It was only 12 kuna should you wish to take the bus. We stayed in a room situated on the sixth floor. The hotel has been extended and so the higher floors are accessed from the lift on the first floor. This was not a problem to us whatsoever. Our room was a large double and was clean. The only issue I had with the room was that it was extremely hot. We were lucky in that whilst we were there we had great weather with some days the temperature in the 30s. The air conditioner was to near a cupboard and so didn’t really cool the room enough. Not a problem, just a minor issue. Lastly: The staff at this hotel are all great, welcoming and friendly. I really have nothing negative to say about any person who works at this hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Croatia and hope to visit again soon. Thankyou More
I booked this hotel as a surprise for my husband as it was our 30th wedding anniversary and we weren’t disappointed. What a lovely hotel from the staff to the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the rooms everything was brilliant. A great base for exploring the beautiful surrounding areas. We would definitely recommend and will hopefully return soon.More
