This historical hotel has a boutique feel and a harbour-front location. And its elegant restaurant is first class.
This grand old hotel had a makeover in 2008 and is now one of Dubrovnik’s most prestigious places to stay. It comes with a pool, a buffet restaurant, and a bar with live bands, DJ music and award-winning cocktails.
You’ll find the Lapad next to a peaceful harbour. There’s a small pebble beach 10 minutes’ walk away, and it’s about a half-hour walk – 5 minutes in a cab – to the old town.

We stayed here for 7 nights after a cruise. Our room, although not large, was very comfortable with ample storage space. The air-conditioning was quiet & efficient. There was plenty of choice for breakfast with something to tempt even the fussiest eater. The bar snacks were very tasty & drinks were reasonably priced. All the staff were friendly, courteous and very welcoming. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here & would definitely return should the opportunity arise. More
We stayed here for 4 nights and can’t find fault at all. Right on the marina with bars and restaurants on the main strip of Lapad which is a 10 min walk away ( be aware expensive places to eat and the food wasn’t all that) bus stop right outside the hotel which comes around every 10 mins and costs about £1.50 each way straight into the centre of of town Dubrovnik. The breakfast was excellent serving a variety or hot and cold food as well as fresh fruit teas coffee etc. The drinks are a little pricey but you often expect that in a hotel. The lunch menu is fairly basic but good. There was a live band in the hotel on Friday which was excellent. Staff all very friendly, lovely pool but there were limited sun beds so get up early. Room was lovely with a view of the ocean/marina from our balcony. We did have an issue with the air con but that was sorted in minutes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and unless you wanted to really try and be picky and find fault there wasn’t anything to complain about!More
Lovely hotel very clean with friendly staff
Good hotel a little out of the old town but no 6 bus takes you to the city wall. Staff very helpful. The hotel is based in Cruz port everywhere is very clean. Some good restaurants within easy walking distance from hotel. Excellent breakfast choice. Overall a very nice hotel.More
Good but not great
Arrived at Hotel Lapad at just after 10pm. Reception was there to greet us. Check in was easy. When we arrived in our room we were pleased. The room was large with high ceiling. It was clean and fairly decorated. But the lights and air con couldn’t be switched on. Called reception and was all sorted within 20min as the lightning storm had tripped the fuse board. Breakfast was nice, serving a good range of hot and cold breakfasts. We didn’t use the pool but it was always packed with people tanning. Smoking is stilled allowed in the hotel and their bar, so we didn’t go it at all. The whole lobby can at times be filled with cigarette smoke. Smoking should be banned. Nearest bus stop is about 5min walk away. The bus ride into old town took only 10min. But it took us an hour to board a bus due to the long queue and people pushing in. I would suggest waking up early to avoid the crowd. Overall Hotel Lapad was a nice place to stay and our room was great. But I felt it lacked character...nothing unique about this hotel. It’s not a must have, but it’s the difference between a good hotel vs a great hotel.More
Just recently returned from 14 days in Dubrovnik. Hotel Lapad is a charming old hotel in a good location on the waterfront. We stayed in the modern part of the hotel which was fine, although the room was a little on the smallside. Lovely pool and bar area. The breakfast allowed plenty of choice and would certainly stay there again...great location to head into the Old town or nearby bars and beachesMore
