It’s the setting people like about this hotel – great views and a peaceful atmosphere come as standard.
The views always impress here. The hotel is in a wide bay, next to pebbly Albatros Beach. So from most rooms you can see cobalt water, a scattering of islands, and Dubrovnik in the distance.
Cavtat’s postcard-worthy old town is about a 15-minute walk. And on the days you’re staying put, there are indoor and outdoor pools, plenty of sports and a couple of great places to eat.

Lovely hotel had a great time
Went to Hotel Albatros in October had a good time the weather was fantastic, the hotel was good clean towels every day, the food was ok could have been warmer though overall a lovely holiday, cavtat is a really quiet place beautifull views on the way down to town from the hotel.More
From the outside the hotel looked fine. We were allocated a room on the 4th floor, there was no lift on reception area so had to carry suitcases up a flight of stairs to get to the lift.!! The room was nice and tidy. Mealtimes were mad, waiting round in a circle to get the food, which invariably was lukewarm . One day we complained at reception about some breakfast food expecting the manager to reply. No one seemed to be interested. (think manager on his holiday`s). Would not return or reccommendMore

Needs refurbing for sure - 3 star with the odd nice touch.
Despite having a perfect location in the beautiful town of Cavtat, this hotel needs refurbishing badly. Not a 4 star, more of a 3 star, with the occasional 4 star touch.Dining room in the evening is hectic even chaotic, so much so we swapped to lunch to avoid the masses and ate out in Cavtat in the evening, which is indeed the perfect location. Finding cutlery at meal times difficult especially for dessert; plates pilling up whilst you change courses, not enough staff to keep on top of clearing tables. Balconies awful just did not bother to go out there; indoor pool and sauna area awful. Bathrooms are ok; nice touch with soap, comb, liquid soap etc, but saying that grab rail in shower hanging off the wall virtually. Towel radiators not working in hotel at all' reception staff advised. Staff favourite word is "no". Cleaners rude beyond belief. On a plus the shower was powerful and nice to use. Rooms very 3 star but acceptable for a cheap holiday. Pool area the best part of this hotel as it faces the fabulous views of the bay, however this area needs refurbishing too. The Albatros lets Cavtat down. However its a fabulous location for a holiday. Dont let it put you off Cavtat, just stay eleswhere.More
Adequate at best
We were really looking forward to our holiday in Croatia, booked this hotel as it was supposed to be a 4 star, when we arrived all looked good, nice entrance, check in was smooth, great we thought. Went to our room and again all was great, little disappointed that there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room, but not really an issue. After unpacking, started to explore the hotel, out side pool was very nice, spa good but that is where the good points end. The indoor pool was in very poor condition, tiles falling from the cealing, debris in the pool, broken tiles in the pool. We went all inclusive and were so disappointed in this, the restaurant opened and everyone flocked there, not enough tables for everyone. It was like feeding time at a prison with people shuffling and pushing for food. The food was warm at best ans very repetitive. When we stayed, there were two tours in the hotel, and despite them not eating, the hotel still reserved half the restaurant for them, so space was even more at a premium. Only one or two bar staff on for a full hotel, so often were queuing for 30 minutes for a drink. If you missed breakfast, there was no food until lunch as the snack bar was only open 4pm to 6pm (hardly what I would call all inclusive) The bar and restaurant were not cleaned properly and often ran out of glasses. Very short staffed for the customers they had, and the majority of the staff seemed miserable and unhappy to be there and a bit unapproachable. All in all would not stay again.More
Large hotel, beautiful setting, get what you pay for
Two families, with teenagers spent 7 nights half board over the October half term. Setting: Perfect in our opinion. Situated alongside a slim pebbled beach. Fabulous views and on the outskirts of Cavtat, about 10-15 minutes walk from the centre. Fab walk along the coastal path/road where there are a number of bars/restaurants on route. Hotel: Large and rather ugly/old fashioned looking from the outside. The interior is also rather outdated and will benefit from the refurb due to take place from November we believe. Generally the hotel was clean and very comfortable. We feel that we "got what we paid for". Outside Pool: Large area and very pleasant with lots of sunbeds. Food: Unfortunately the Croatians did not manage to get many food dishes quite right. We are not fussy eaters but there were times when it was a struggle to find food to our taste. Breakfast was ok, as was lunch, however in the evenings we did eat out 3 out of 7 nights and that is something we have never done before when we have booked half board. Rooms; good size, comfortable, clean with free safe. Ace shower, so powerful. Just need updating. Cavtat: Beautiful place, very scenic. Staff: Most were very friendly/helpful. Note to Management: Your staff work very hard and are too stretched. You need to employ more staff to cope with the number of guests in restaurant/bar. Tip: Use UBER to get around, they are very cheap. Don't use Hotel transport because they quoted more than double for a journey to Dubrovnik. Weather: For the last week in October we were quite fortunate. During most days the sun was out and it resembled a very pleasant Summers day in England. We came back with some colour in our cheeks. Take care in the evenings; it is nippy/windy. You will need warm clothes if you are walking into Cavtat. Would we stay again at the Albatros? Probably yes after renovations have taken place and the hotel has a more modern feel. Summary: All in all you get what you pay for. This was a cheap week away for us and was enjoyed by all of our group age range; teenagers to 40s and 50s. More
