The Albatros Hotel does the double – it’s nabbed a spot by a beach, but the huge pool scene’s just as splash-worthy.
You’ve got a beach under your nose here. It’s pretty quiet apart from that, so sleepy sunbathing tops the list. That said, it’s a 15-minute walk into Cavtat, and boats chug their way to Dubrovnik from the jetty.
This place is taking spring clean to the next level. It’s getting a spruce-up for summer 2018, when you’ll be looking at shiny, Skandi-style rooms and public spaces.

It was our fourth stay at the Remisens Hotel Albatros. During the winter the hotel underwent a major renovation, so everything is new and shiny. I can recall pros only : - excellent location - friendly and helpful stuff - excellent food & service - well heated indoor pool The hotel really deserves nothing but the recommendations- You will get what you have paid for, and much more.More
Great location, lovely staff and super kids club
We stayed for my sons 3rd birthday and the hotel was located only 20 mins away from Dubrovnik Old Town. The hotel had a nice indoor pool although outdoor was too cold. Food was good - lots of choice but was a little busy. The rooms were of a good size and comfy. We stayed pre-refurb as I am aware they will be redecorated. Lastly, the best thing was the childrens entertainment. Sanela (Sunny) who runs the Remi kids club was amazing. She was so lovely to my son and spent so much time with him. He preferred being with her than us! Thank you Sunny :).More

Just what we needed in every aspect!
I stayed from the 1st April (hotel re-opening since the full refurb) and I can genuinely say I was so pleasantly surprised and delighted with my choice to stay in this hotel. I was wanting a short relaxed and lazy stay with the kids in an enjoyable resort and got that. Approaching the hotel by coach it didn’t look attractive however once walking in it was fine. Being someone who works in hotels myself - to know in advance a hotel has had refurbishment I was hoping to not see any snags and contractors still working - and there wasn’t! My kids were disappointed that the outdoor swimming pools were not yet ready but I explained the weather was not ideal. Indoor pool was fine however but lacked a little vibe. The entire experience from check in to check out, the staff and entertainment team were amazing and very friendly and attentive. Food throughout was plentiful in in terms of choices and tasty! My and the kids were on all inclusive and were never hungry or needing to buy anything else. Bedrooms are modern and contemporary and offer balconies and lots of space! The hotel essence is everywhere such a great smell! The hotels entertainment and programme they put together got quite a few adults and kids involved. You could see the team working in and around the hotel throughout trying to have fun with all guests regardless of age. This means a lot for a parent! Special thanks to Daniela who looked after my Khaely so well at the mini discos and also in the nursery giving me time out on my holiday - to see you cry when we were leaving showed me why a bond you had with my daughter. Also to Nira, Tom, Tin and others for the activities for my big daughter. It’s hard to get teenagers to be engaged in activity and you guys did it well! So thank you! The General Manager, Miloo - I noticed was always in and around the hotel chatting with guests, eating the same food in the restaurant as well as his team. Which is great to see that they also get the benefit to enjoy the food as well as check the quality. I stay in many hotels and I don’t see a General Manager as much as this - it’s great!! This hotel is in an ideal location for any families wanting to spend quality time with each other on a quiet resort within a short minute walk to the beach. Or a 15 minute walk to Cavtat, for other recreation like walking around the market stools and the rest of the port. I took a boat to Old Town which was about a 45 min ride (return 100 kuna around £11 per adult) and that was a super day out in the sun exploring the best of Dubrovnik history and scenery. I hired a couple of mountain bikes to ride around and enjoy the hills and explore and they were in the region of £3 per hour (30 kuna) Will we go back? Yes. However low season was really quiet, therefore will go back in high season for a bit more buzz and sun obviously! More

More
